On April 18, the Qilin District Committee of the Communist Youth League organized student volunteers from Yunnan Energy Vocational and Technical College to carry out the "Dandelion-Youth Sunset" volunteer service activity for the left-behind elderly youth in Tuanjie Village, Ciying Town.
During the activity, volunteers provided massage services for the elderly, using appropriate techniques to relieve pain, stretch muscles and bones, and eliminate fatigue for the elderly according to their different physical conditions. At the same time, the volunteers carefully prepared wormwood and performed moxibustion for the elderly. In the process of massage and moxibustion, the volunteers also talked with the elderly cordially, cared about their living conditions and physical health, popularized health knowledge to the elderly, reminded them to pay attention to diet, exercise and rest in their daily life, and enhanced their awareness of self-care.
The development of this volunteer service activity carried forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation of "loving the elderly, respecting the elderly, and helping the elderly", created a strong atmosphere of respecting and loving the elderly, and made the elderly feel the care and warmth of the young volunteers.
