"Everyone knows that Mr. Lu Xun has an essay "Social Opera", which is the predecessor of Shao Opera after the founding of New China. When it comes to Shaoxing opera, the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is Yue Opera, because Yue Opera has now become one of the four major opera genres in the country, and there are Yue Opera troupes in all provinces and cities in the mainland. There are actually two kinds of Shaoxing opera, one is Yue opera, and the other is Shaoxing opera. The history of Shao Opera is much longer than that of Yue Opera, with a history of more than 400 years. I have been working hard, and I hope that more people will learn and understand Mr. Lu Xun's hometown opera. Liuxiaolingtong said.

"My great-grandfather loved Shao opera, which is now a hobby. My grandfather, Zhang Yisheng, was a key figure in promoting the prosperity of Shao Opera. In 1960, there was a color Shao opera movie "Monkey King Three Fights White Bone Spirit", in which my father starred in Sun Wukong, my uncle who played Zhu Bajie, and my second brother who played the little monkey king. My father's stage name is Liulingtong because he started his career at the age of six. The uncle's stage name is Qilingtong, and he started art at the age of seven. My second brother's name is Xiao Liulingtong. When I was filming "Journey to the West", my father said that you can't call it a little six-year-old, although it's a bit weird, but I got used to it when I listened to it, so I got my stage name Liuxiaolingtong. ”

Liu Xiaolingtong recalled: "My second brother Xiao Liulingtong is a genius, because he started acting at the age of three, and when he was eight years old, he took a famous photo, Premier Zhou Enlai was holding a little monkey in his arms and laughing, and the child who played the little monkey was my second brother." At the age of twelve, he made the movie "Monkey King Three Fights White Bone Spirit", and died of acute leukemia at the age of sixteen. A literary figure wrote an article in his honor, entitled "Life Lies in Quality", praising him as "China's most inspired opera actor". ”

Liu Xiaolingtong said that when the second brother was on the sickbed, he once told him the story of the villain book "Journey to the West" over and over again. "He pinned his hopes on me to inherit my father's monkey opera career. I know Monkey King, I like Monkey King, and I want to play Monkey King when my brother tells me stories. ”
