As the highlight of the 2024 Chancheng District National Reading Activity, on April 21, the opening ceremony of the Crape Myrtle Starry Sky Self-Service Library was held in the Crape Myrtle Starry Sky Light and Shadow Art Museum on the north side of the 3rd floor of Foshan Wangfujing Crape Myrtle Port, a large commercial complex in the Jihua Central Business Belt of Foshan.
This is a self-service library hidden in the art museum: the library covers an area of 600 square meters, with a collection of 3,000 books, a comfortable reading environment and a rich collection of books. The museum is jointly built by Foshan Chancheng District Library and Ziwei Starry Sky Light and Shadow Digital Culture (Foshan) Co., Ltd., which is open to the society with zero threshold and free of charge, and is committed to opening up the "last mile" of public cultural services to connect the grassroots, innovating to create a "library + business district" cultural co-construction model, and enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the masses.
It is worth mentioning that the museum has a special theme pavilion of "Foshan Top Ten Traditional Cultures", which displays the "Foshan History and Culture Series", etc., which can meet the diverse reading needs of the masses.
As one of the grassroots service points (member libraries) of the Chancheng District United Library, the library is equipped with self-service borrowing and returning equipment, and more than 500 libraries in the city's joint library system to realize book borrowing and returning.

According to reports, the Ziwei Starry Sky Light and Shadow Art Museum is committed to creating the "Light and Shadow China" IP and promoting the combination of digital art and traditional Chinese culture. The art museum consists of five parts: light and shadow immersion area, exhibition and activity area, cultural and creative experience area, interactive research area, and special catering area, each of which has different functions, covering light and shadow art exhibitions, research and education, art salons, leisure and entertainment and other composite functions. Through light and shadow art, panoramic restoration, game interaction and other technical means, it brings the audience an immersive experience with both culture, art and technology.
