Because of the longer foraging time in spring, and the terrain of the fish passage is suitable for both day and night. In spring and autumn, it is common to fish in the morning and evening, and find fish nests in the middle of the day, because fish often only eat in the cooler morning and evening.
1. Large and small water surfaces
The first type of fishway is the exclusive topography of the fishway in spring and autumn, and it is also an excellent choice for night fishing in summer, that is, where the large water surface is connected to the small water surface. We all know that big fish prefer to hide in large water because it is deep and wide, and there is a very high level of security. If the water surface is small, the safety will be poor, so it is easy for large fish to move on the small water surface that is connected to it. However, spring is special because even if the water surface is connected, it will heat up quickly and slowly due to the different sizes. It is the small water surface that warms up faster, and the food is also the first to appear, and regardless of the season, the small water surface has more abundant food than the large water surface. There is no reason why large and small fish that have resumed feeding should not feed from large to small surfaces.
2. Both sides of the bay
What area of the larger water surface heats up faster? Naturally, it is a sunny bay, which is an excellent location for spring fishing shallows. This is because the water temperature is high in sunny areas, the bay is shallow and the current is relatively gentle, and food is often plentiful. The foraging of fish is not directly from deep water into shallow water, that is, it is not directly "killed" in the middle of the lake and reservoir to the nest, and the foraging of fish is along the shore at a certain distance, so to enter the warm bay, it must first pass through both sides of the bay. If it is a relatively narrow water surface such as a wild river and a long ditch, the fish will come directly from the middle of the river, so fishing the wild river should pay more attention to fishing far away and close to the nest, and the nest should be thrown away behind the bait landing point.
Third, the tip of the ploughshare
The ploughshare tip is actually very similar to the two sides of the bay, because the bay is relatively large, and both sides are basically ploughshare tips, but the two sides of the ploughshare tip may not be the bay. The tip of the ploughshare is a place for anglers, whether it is a river or a lake, it must be occupied when encountering this protruding terrain. Because fish forage along the shore at a certain distance, the distance to the shore becomes much closer when passing through here. The tip of the ploughshare usually has uneven bottoms such as slopes, and it belongs to the topography of the fish passage and fish nest, so it is a good place to fish all year round. It is recommended to find a ploughshare tip with a sunny and headwind, such as a spring when there are many southerly wind days, and it is a good choice to find a ploughshare tip on the north shore. There is also an irregular but large surface of the water, so it is best to fish on the left side of the ploughshare. Fish have a tendency to feed counterclockwise along the shore and enter deep water after passing the tip of the ploughshare, rather than passing over the right side of the tip.
Fourth, the width becomes narrower
The wide and narrow terrain is also a classic fish passage, and the fish forage very vigorously in spring, so there is a very large foraging range, as long as the foraging will pass through the wide and narrow position. There are drawbacks to this kind of place, spring is not very suitable for crucian carp fishing, because crucian carp are small fish that do not have much foraging range, and they are often active in aquatic grass areas. The wide and narrow area is very interesting, either there is no grass, and if there is grass, there must be no fish. However, some aquatic plants can often be found in areas such as the tip of the ploughshare, the bay, the two sides of the bay, and the connection of large and small water surfaces. The area where the width and narrowing are visible is a typical location for catching big fish. This kind of position does not need to be too focused on the sunny and headwind factors, because it is relatively narrow, and the fish can't always walk on one side.
The fish in the large water area are slightly later than the small water surface, and after the sting, the crucian carp is preferentially fished in the small water surface, and then the big fish can be caught on the large water surface. As a rule of thumb, spring is the season when big fish regain their strength and prepare for breeding, and it is better to catch them than in other seasons.
