In the mid-50s of the 20th century, the country's rural areas were entering the climax of agricultural cooperation, in order to alleviate the problem of labor shortage, the women of Qianhe Village, Jiande City, Hangzhou City, under the leadership of the party, broke the traditional customs, went out of the house to participate in labor, devoted themselves to agricultural production, and pioneered equal pay for men and women for equal work. In 1955, this deed was compiled by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China into the middle volume of the book "The Socialist Upsurge in Rural China". Chairman Mao Zedong changed the title to "Mobilizing Women to Put into Production and Solving the Difficulty of Labor Shortage", made several revisions to the article, and inscribed a 512-character note, which stated, "Chinese women are a great human resource, and we must tap this resource and strive to build a great socialist country." Since then, Qianhe Village has become an important birthplace of the idea that "women can hold up half the sky".
Dust off the dust, and "half the sky" will bloom again
Under the strong leadership of the Party committee and government, and with the strong support of women's federations at all levels across the country, in May 2020, the Qianhe Women's Spiritual Education Base was completed and opened. The base has successively created the first national women's patriotism education base in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Patriotism Education Base, Zhejiang Women's Patriotism Education Base, etc., and has undertaken more than 350,000 visits.
Shen Yueyue, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former chairman of the All-China Women's Federation, has made important instructions on inheriting and carrying forward the spirit of Qianhe women, Huang Xiaowei, secretary of the party group, vice chairman and first secretary of the secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, Zhang Dongmei, vice chairman, secretary of the secretariat and member of the party group, and Wu Haiying, former vice chairman and secretary of the secretariat, visited the base for research and guidance.
In 2020, the Hangzhou Municipal Aid Xinjiang Headquarters, the Hangzhou Women's Federation, the Aksu Prefecture (City) Women's Federation and other departments will work together to introduce the spirit of Qianhe women in the new era into Aksu, and build the Aksu practice base of the spirit of Qianhe women.
Tell a good story, "half the sky" gathers the strength to forge ahead
Based on the differentiated advantages of red women's culture, the Qianhe women's spiritual education and training industry came into being. Since 2020, the Qianhe Women's Spiritual Education Base has successively cooperated with China Women's University (All-China Women's Federation Cadre Training College) and Zhejiang Women's Cadre School, listed the on-site teaching point of the All-China Women's Federation Cadre Training College, the teaching practice base of China Women's University, and established the Qianhe Training Base of Zhejiang Women's Cadre School, and has undertaken more than 150 batches of training for female officials from developing countries and women cadres in various provinces and cities across the country, with more than 9,000 person-times, and the school-local cooperation has been fruitful.
With the cooperation between the Qianhe Women's Spiritual Education Base, the Shaoshan Comrade Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and the "May Fourth Constitution" Museum, the 3rd Global Women's Development Forum, the "Women Can Hold Up Half the Sky" Ideological and Theoretical Seminar and the Women's Heroes Cultural Forum have been held in Jiande, Hangzhou.
With red belts, "half the sky" will build new achievements for women
In order to further promote the spirit of Qianhe women to keep pace with the times and lead the majority of women to devote themselves to rural revitalization, the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee issued the "Implementation Opinions on Inheriting and Promoting the Spirit of Qianhe Women and Encouraging Women to Make Contributions and Start Businesses", and the Jiande Municipal Party Committee integrated resources to build high-quality women's innovation and entrepreneurship platforms such as Qianhesao Entrepreneurship Street, Qianhesao Live Broadcast Room, Qianhesao Women's Innovation Alliance, and Qianhehong Gongfu Industrial Park.
The city has emerged one after another, with the national 38 red flag bearer, the national top ten peasant female champion Pan Qiumei, the national women's meritorious service model, the 90s grain second generation Wang Yun as the representative of women entrepreneurs and new farmers, the majority of women to make contributions to the cause, the realization of life ideals and dreams of the stage is broader.
Spanning historical time and space, the spirit of Qianhe women, who "strive for self-improvement to support half the sky, innovate and start a business, dare to be the first in the world, and loyally dedicate themselves to realize the dream of the family and the country", will continue to write new stories in the new era.
