On April 18, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Government and Panyu District jointly launched the activity of "Entering Panyu" for foreign consular delegations in Guangzhou. At noon on the same day, the Panyu District Investment Promotion Conference was held in Panyu Hotel, where 46 consular officials and representatives from the consulates general of 30 countries in Guangzhou gathered together to talk about the future and seek common development. Huang Biao, Secretary of the Panyu District Party Committee, Xia Jian, Deputy District Mayor, and Jin Danhua, Vice Chairman of the District Political Consultative Conference, attended the promotion meeting.
At the promotion meeting, Huang Biao welcomed the arrival of the delegation in his speech and introduced in detail the current economic and social development of Panyu District. At the beginning of this year, Panyu issued a sincere invitation to the world of "Come to Panyu, at the right time", welcomed visitors from all over the world with an open attitude, and fully opened the global investment journey. He summarized the remarkable achievements created by "the best of Panyu" from many aspects such as industrial base, business environment, traffic conditions, popular talents and ecological environment. There is the "world's most" and the world's only new energy vehicle "lighthouse factory" GAC Aion factory, as well as the "country's most" and the country's busiest high-speed rail station Guangzhou South Railway Station, as well as the "Bay Area's most" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area fastest subway.
This year, Panyu is deeply engaged in the intelligent network and new energy vehicle industry, and at the same time aims at the fashion industry to build a second 100 billion-level industry, and accelerate the digital, customized and fashionable transformation of traditional industries. On the day of the event, in order to let the delegation have a more direct and profound understanding of the development status and investment and business environment of Panyu, the delegation also visited Guangzhou Haoyang Electronics Co., Ltd., one of the demonstration enterprises of "five foreign linkages", GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. and Panyu Shawan Ancient Town. "We pay special attention to the manufacturing industry, although Germany is very developed in the field of automobile industry, but today in GAC Aion I still feel very shocked when I see the production process of electric cars, it turns out that Panyu's automobile industry foundation is also so strong. I believe that in the future, we will have more opportunities for close contact and cooperation with Panyu. Jana Ludwig, representative of the German Consulate General in Guangzhou, said.
According to reports, at present, there are 8,831 foreigners in Panyu District, and investors from 87 countries and regions have invested in Panyu to establish 6,760 enterprises, and the total number of market entities in the district has reached 409,000.
