Since its opening in November 2022, the "Exhibition Hall of the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries" has served as a new impetus to promote the development of Macao's China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) will continue to optimize the contents of the exhibition hall and will open a large display case of "China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Platform@Macao", which will display the most representative products and raw material models of nine Portuguese-speaking countries, so as to deepen visitors' understanding of the high-quality and characteristic products of Portuguese-speaking countries, further enhance visitors' experience and deepen economic and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
IPIM will set up a large-scale showcase under the "China-PSC Platform@Macao" to continue to enrich the content of the exhibition hall
As of the end of March 2024, the number of exhibits in the exhibition hall has increased to more than 2,600, and the number of exhibitors has increased from 262 to 347, an increase of 32%. 500 visitors, including nearly 200 government delegations from Chinese mainland and Portuguese-speaking countries, and 15 live broadcasts and promotional activities were held at the venue. Some of the enterprises organising the event reported satisfactory results and were optimistic about the development prospects of Macao's China-PSC platform, recognizing that the exhibition hall is not only a one-stop space for merchants to experience the multifaceted charms of Portuguese-speaking countries, but also an ideal place for enterprises to gather for business, exchange and negotiation.

Under the development orientation of "One Centre, One Platform and One Base" endowed and supported by the state, Macao's function as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries has been continuously improved, and a comprehensive service platform has been basically formed, with economic and trade co-operation services as the center, and coordinated development and joint promotion in the fields of scientific research, traditional Chinese medicine, cultural tourism, MICE and commerce, finance and youth entrepreneurship.

In addition, the 6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) will be held in Macao this year, and one of its supporting activities, the "Entrepreneurs' Conference", will be held on 23 April under the theme of "Promoting the New Trend of Digital Transformation and Sharing New Opportunities for Green Development". Leaders and representatives of key units and enterprises from Chinese mainland, nine Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao, including China's top 500 enterprises, will attend, and the organizer will organize participating merchants to go deep into the community to visit and consume, extend the benefits of activities, deepen the cross-border integration and development of "tourism + MICE ", and give full play to the multiplier effect of "industry + MICE ".

Overview of Portuguese-speaking Countries│ The Exhibition Pavilion further strengthened the offer of the nine Portuguese-speaking countries, covering products, services and spaces for activities, aiming to promote the economic and trade cooperation of these countries with China
After its inauguration in November 2022, the "Exhibition Pavilion of the Service Platform for Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries" has served as a new impetus for the construction of the Sino-Lusophone cooperation platform in Macao. The Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) continues to optimize the contents of the pavilion, which is currently closed, for a process of reorganization of its internal layout. Inside, the large-scale showcase "Sino-Lusófona@Macau Platform" will be displayed, where the most representative products of the nine Portuguese-speaking Countries (PLPs) will be displayed. The showcase will contribute to improving the experience of visitors, so that they can learn about more quality items characteristic of Lusophone countries, and will also enable the deepening of Sino-Lusophone economic and trade cooperation.
Located in basement 1 of the "Service Platform Complex for Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries", the Exhibition Pavilion will include more than 2,600 items by the end of March 2024. The number of exhibitors also increased from 262 to 347 – an increase of 32%. The Pavilion, known as a "Comprehensive Pavilion", displays food, agricultural, handicraft and trade information products from the nine PSCs. Visited by more than 7,500 people, including about 200 official and business delegations from Mainland China and the PSCs, 15 live broadcasts and other promotional events were also held at the venue. Event planners expressed satisfaction with the results and are optimistic about the future development of the Sino-Lusophone Platform of Macao. The Pavilion is recognized as a space for merchants to experience various attractions of PLPs in one place, as well as being an ideal place for business meetings and business interactions.
Under the guidance and support of the central government, with the development position of "One Centre, One Platform, One Base" for Macao, the function of the Macao Sino-Lusophone Platform continues to be enhanced. An integrated service with the economic and trade cooperation support service as the core has already been ensured, promoting joint and coordinated development in the fields of scientific research, traditional Chinese medicine, cultural tourism, conventions, exhibitions and trade, finance and youth entrepreneurship.

In addition, this year, Macao will host an important event - the "6th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao)", and one of the side events will be the "Entrepreneurs' Conference", held on 23 April, under the theme "Promoting New Trends in Digital Transformation and Sharing New Opportunities for Green Development". The event will be attended by leaders and representatives of the business sector, including executives from Fortune China 500 companies, and leading institutions from Mainland China, the nine PSCs and Macao. At the same time, the organizers have planned business visits for participants to explore the local community, expanding the benefits of the activities, deepening the integration of the "tourism + MIC" development, and taking advantage of the multiplier effect of the "industries + MIC" binomial.
