This year, the Special Collections Department of the Library of Southwest University has selected 12 illustrated ancient books in various forms with national census registration numbers, taking into account the difficulties that non-professionals and young students may have difficulties in reading traditional ancient books (such as traditional Chinese characters, vertical layout, and no punctuation marks).

Among them, it contains a number of ancient popular science books, such as the earliest complete waterway atlas in the Three Gorges area, "Gorge River Atlas", and the largest silkworm book in ancient China, "Sericulture Extraction", etc. It is worth mentioning that the Ming Wanli book "Emperor Jian Illustrated Narrative" engraved by Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, as a textbook for the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, is also one of the highlights of this exhibition.
