Five years ago, my in-laws carefully built a seven-storey western-style building with a spacious area of about 120 square meters and an overall construction area of nearly 1,000 square meters. The building used to be simply whitewashed, giving it a plain and functional look. However, last year, my in-laws deliberately redecorated for my husband's marriage, and I am deeply satisfied with both the taste of the decoration and the choice of furniture. The only regret is that there is no elevator in the building, and climbing the stairs every day is really tiring.
This new house has seven floors, each with its own character. The first floor is set up as a basement, which is mainly used to store sundries, which is convenient and practical. On the second floor is the living area, with a spacious living room, a modern kitchen and a neat bathroom that meets the needs of our daily life. The third floor is the living space for the in-laws and sister-in-law, who each have a comfortable bedroom.
The fourth and fifth floors are my husband and me's private world. On the fourth floor there is a living room, laundry room and mahjong room where we can enjoy our leisure time to the fullest. On the fifth floor is our bedroom area, where the master bedroom is spacious and bright, and the guest room and children's room are also warmly furnished. As for the sixth and seventh floors, they have not yet been renovated, and they retain a sense of anticipation and reverie.
The whole building is reasonably designed and exquisitely decorated, reflecting the deep care of our in-laws. Although the lack of an elevator is a bit inconvenient, it also becomes a way for us to exercise. Here, we feel the warmth and happiness of home.
