Safe Mode is a powerful tool for troubleshooting your PC. By starting your PC with only critical and necessary software and services, it can help you determine if background processes are interfering with your normal daily use, or if there is any third-party software that is causing problems with your PC and making it difficult to use.
If you want to get out of safe mode, the easiest way is to restart your computer. As long as there are no other issues, your PC should exit safe mode and boot up normally.
However, it's not uncommon to get stuck in safe mode. Every time you boot up your computer and get into a safe environment, it's frustrating. Safe Mode doesn't have any third-party services or software, and it doesn't have any Windows animations, and your PC will run at a lower resolution than normal.
Fortunately, solving this problem is usually simple and can be either a configuration-based issue or a software-related issue. However, you may need to try several methods to resolve this issue. This guide will give you a variety of ways to get out of safe mode and back to normal operations.
Use the system configuration
The first and most important way is to configure your system and let Windows know that your next boot will be a normal boot and that all third-party services and software will be loaded into that boot. This process requires almost no clicks from your side.
First, press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run Command utility. Then, type msconfig and hit enter on your keyboard to bring up the system configuration window on your screen.
After that, in the system configuration window, make sure that the General tab is selected. Then, click on the radio button before the "Normal Startup" option.
Next, head to the "Boot" tab on the window. After that, click on the checkbox in front of the "Secure Boot" option under the "Boot Options" section to uncheck it. Then, click the "Apply" button to confirm the changes, and click the "OK" button to close the window. This will display an alert window on your screen.
On the pop-up window, click the "Reboot Now" button to reboot the system immediately. Otherwise, click the "Exit without Restarting" button so that you can restart later.
The next time you restart, Windows will exit safe mode and should return to normal mode.
Use the command prompt to edit the bootstrap configuration data
If your computer still starts up from safe mode, you can head to the command prompt. Using the command prompt, you can instruct your PC to remove the Secure Boot option from the Windows boot configuration data, which will automatically load the normal boot on your system.
To do this, first, head to the Start menu, type "Terminal" to search for it. Then, in the search results, right-click on the Terminal tile and click on the Run as administrator option in the context menu to continue.
Now, a user account control window will appear on the screen. If you're not signed in with an administrator account, enter the credentials for one of the accounts. Otherwise, click the "Yes" button to continue.
Then, on the Terminal window, click on the chevron (down arrow) and then click on the Command Prompt option to proceed. Alternatively, you can also press the Ctrl+Shift+2 keys on your keyboard at the same time to open the Command Prompt tab.
Now on the Command Prompt tab, type or copy+paste the code mentioned below and hit enter to execute. This will remove the Secure Boot option from the system's boot configuration. After a successful execution, you will receive a message on the same window.

If neither of the above methods can get your PC back to normal, your last option is to use the Advanced Startup option. The advanced boot options will boot you up in the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and allow you to change the system boot options.
First, head to the Start menu, click on the "Settings" interactive under the "Pinned Apps" section to proceed. Otherwise, type "Settings" in the menu to perform the search.
Then, on the Settings window, make sure that you have selected the System tab on the left sidebar to continue.
After that, from the right part of the window, locate and click on the "Recover" tile to proceed.
Then, on the next screen, click on the "Restart" button located at the far right edge of the "Advanced Startup" tile under the "Recovery Options" section. This will immediately restart your PC.
After you restart your PC, click the Troubleshoot tile on the Choose an option screen to continue.
After that, in the Troubleshoot screen, click on the Advanced Options tile to continue.
Now, on the Advanced Options screen, locate and click on the Startup Settings tile to proceed.
Then, on the next screen, click on the "Restart" button at the bottom right corner of the screen for you to change the options.
After restarting your computer, go to the Startup Settings screen and press Enter on your keyboard to load the operating system in normal mode. This will restart your computer again and load the operating system that contains all third-party software and services.
