PLA fighter planes are once again approaching the island, and the "Taiwan independence" elements on the island can be said to be panicked, and at the critical moment, it is revealed that the US military has entered Kinmen, and the situation in the Taiwan Strait may suddenly heat up.
Recently, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) J-10, Y-8, and other aircraft types have made a total of 18 sorties, of which 11 have crossed the so-called "center line of the strait" and entered the airspace of northern, central, and southwestern Taiwan. Zhang Yanting, a retired lieutenant general of the Taiwan military, said that Green Island can be clearly seen from Taitung's Zhihang Airport, and Green Island is 14 nautical miles away from Taitung, while PLA military planes are only 13 nautical miles away from Green Island. The second is the instant collapse of the Taiwan military's psychological defense line, which in turn triggered a "wave of deserters." Recently, we can clearly see that the Taiwan military is unstable and that the phenomenon of suicide and desertion has not ceased despite repeated prohibitions, and this not only reflects the lax military discipline, but also reflects the aspirations of the people on the entire island.
The Americans did not want to see the DPP "abolishing its own martial arts" and did not dare to interfere in the open, so they had no choice but to secretly engage in some small actions behind their backs. According to US and Taiwan media, US Army special forces are stationed in Taiwan as "resident training observers" and are operating in Penghu, Kinmen, and other places to assist in training Taiwan troops. This unit performed very well in the Gulf War and has also served as the Pentagon's foreign training mission on many occasions. According to foreign media reports, in addition to "anti-landing" and "anti-airborne" exercises, the training tasks of this unit also include "residential warfare," that is, urban street fighting. It seems that the United States and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are planning to engage in "scorched earth tactics," which is a "ruthless move," because no matter what the outcome of the street fighting is, the Americans will be able to do nothing about themselves, while the PLA will have to face pressure from all sides.
Now it seems that the settlement of the Taiwan issue cannot be delayed. For a long time, we have always blindly conceded profits in cross-strait relations, let the economic foundation determine the political consensus, and then peacefully resolve the Taiwan issue. It is a pity that during the period when the DPP was in power, it constantly relied on the United States to seek "independence," relied on the sea to gain self-respect, and constantly challenged the red line of cross-strait reunification.
