1. Go out less. When dust weather occurs, it is best not to go out. Because the air at this time contains a large amount of PM2.5 and ultrafine particulate matter, basically every breath is a strong irritation to the respiratory tract. If you do go out, be sure to wear a mask and try to keep your time outdoors as short as possible. If you have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases or respiratory diseases, try not to go out. High concentrations of ultrafine particulate matter can induce some acute respiratory problems, such as acute cardiovascular problems, and asthma, etc., with serious consequences, so try not to take risks.

2. Wear a mask. Choose the right mask. Medical masks or ordinary masks are not recommended, although they are comfortable to wear, but they are not effective in protecting ultra-fine particles, it is best to use KN95 or N95, if you really don't have KN90 or N90.

3. Wash your hands, face, hair and shower after returning home. High winds blow not only sand and dust, but also pollutants such as pathogenic bacteria from garbage cans and allergy-causing pollen from flowers...... And when we pass through the dust, these pollutants can remain on our faces, hair, and even clothing. If not treated promptly, these pathogens and allergens may slip into the body along the nose and mouth. You don't need a special detergent to clean up these dirty things, and your daily facial cleanser and shampoo are enough.

4. Rinse your nose. If you have allergies, it is recommended to wash your nasal passages after taking a bath. Even though we wear masks, there may still be fish that slip through the net and are happy in our nasal passages, so it is also a good idea to rinse our nasal passages with saline (or water if you don't have one) when you get home.

5. Turn on fresh air and air purifiers. Even if you close the doors and windows long before the dust hits, it is still recommended to turn on the air purifier and operate it manually. If air purifiers are automated, they tend to only detect PM2.5 but turn a blind eye to PM10. Therefore, it is best to manually open the strong wind brackets to ensure that they work strongly during dusty weather and filter out the fine dust that penetrates through the cracks in doors and windows. Remember to manually clean or replace the filter screen and filter cartridge after dusty weather.
