The use of plug-in tools not only destroys the ecological balance and normal operation of the QQ platform, but also provides convenient conditions for malicious marketing behaviors, and there are multiple risks. In this regard, the QQ security team has continuously strengthened the governance of plug-ins, and once violations involving the sale and use of QQ plug-ins are found, they will crack down and deal with them according to the severity of the violations.
At present, there are many types of plug-in tools, and they are updated and iterated with the development of technology. Plug-in gangs generally use various gimmicks such as "QQ multi-opening, QQ hanging, QQ personalized customization, Android emulator, flashing" and other gimmicks to induce users to directly download plug-in tools for use. In addition, they will also use group control technology to develop so-called "marketing artifact" plug-in tools, such as automatic account registration, adding friends, sending messages and other functions through batch operations, or through QQ bots to achieve regular group messages, automatic reply, automatic chat and other control functions, causing harassment to normal users and causing a bad impact on the normal and orderly development of the network.

In order to deal with the problem of plug-ins from the root, the QQ security team continues to improve its security crackdown capabilities, from the client to the server, from basic functions to business scenarios, and has established a hierarchical + hierarchical security defense line of all channels, all versions, and all scenarios, so as to more effectively identify and accurately crack down on the plug-in black market while ensuring a normal ordinary user experience. So far in 2023, the QQ security team has actively cooperated with the law enforcement of the public security organs, assisted in cracking down on a total of 16 cases of plug-in black industry, and arrested more than 40 related criminal suspects.
