At present, in order to gain traffic, some people deliberately post rumors and vulgar information on the Internet, or use AI and other artificial intelligence technologies to fabricate and stitch fake content to attract the attention of netizens. The act of "selling miserable marketing" is suspected of false publicity, which is fraud and misleading consumers, violates the relevant provisions of the "Advertising Law", and may also violate the crime of fraud in the "Criminal Law" if the circumstances are serious. Creating and spreading rumors online is subject to legal responsibility.

Cracking down on and rectifying online rumors requires the joint efforts of the whole society. It is necessary to resolutely say no to online violence and Internet rumors! Netizens who discover clues about Internet rumors in their daily lives can promptly report them to the public security organs, and the public security organs will severely crack down on those that constitute violations and crimes in accordance with the law. He also put forward relevant suggestions and initiatives:

Recommendations for media platforms:

It is recommended that website platforms and online self-media should standardize the management of all aspects of content production, publication, and dissemination, strictly implement entity responsibility for information content, actively clean up illegal information, and promptly dispose of illegal accounts.

It is hoped that the majority of netizens and friends will enhance their awareness of discernment, do not believe online rumors, raise their awareness of the law, do not spread rumors and information, maintain rational thinking, resist online rumors, and do "not believe rumors, do not spread rumors, and do not spread rumors", establish a correct view of network security, use the Internet rationally, speak out in a civilized manner, transmit positive energy, and jointly protect a clean and upright cyberspace.
