At this time, the construction of the Mori Mao Building, which is contracted by the Fujita Obayashi Group Enterprise Community, is about to start, and the project is located in the core area of Lujiazui, with a "height" of 203.2 meters, which is tantamount to standing out from the crowd in Pudong, where the average altitude is less than 100 meters, and instantly attracted everyone's attention.
With the good reputation gained in the early construction of Huaneng United Building, China Construction Second Engineering Bureau, which began to emerge in the Pudong construction circle, was "hit at a glance", and after layers of screening and sufficient preparation, China Construction Second Engineering Bureau East China Company successfully "broke through" and became the only civil engineering general contractor.
In the early 90s, there was a saying among the people of Shanghai - "I would rather have a bed in Puxi than a room in Pudong", which to a certain extent reflects the difference in the geographical environment of Pudong, and the difficulty of building a super high-rise with a foundation pit of 18 meters deep on this "mud crossing" is like "building a structure on dough".
In order to avoid the problem of large errors caused by the rebound of the "dough" quality soil in the process of excavation, we bravely tried to dig a layer, pour a layer, dig and pour again, so that the pouring part does not have to be blasted again, saving the construction period, and there is no need to build another working platform and internal support in the construction process, which reduces the number and cost of construction. Due to the use of semi-reverse construction, the project completed the target 66 days ahead of schedule, won the second prize of China Construction Science Progress Award, and the national science and technology demonstration project award, and the average age of the project team that created all this is less than 30 years old.
The project team worked hard and repeatedly tackled key problems, not only successfully completed the installation of 8,600 pieces of steel structures with a total weight of 7,151 tons, realized the first super high-rise steel structure installation of the Second Bureau, but also won the first place in the Shanghai Jingang Cup Award in one fell swoop! The project was identified as the second batch of new technology application demonstration projects in the national construction industry.
With the pleasing on-site civilization, the construction speed of "more than two months to complete the contract in advance", the application of more than 10 new technologies, "zero leakage" and rave reviews for the quality presentation, Senmao Building amazed Pudong for a while. The project construction team was also selected by Korean businessmen, following the Huaneng United Building, Senmao International Building, the 146-meter-high Jingyin Building has also been successfully landed, and the three towering buildings are adjacent to each other, combined into a total of 260,000 square meters of "Tian" shaped plot. For a time, the "Three Musketeers" became a beautiful scenery in Pudong.
Build the legend of "Treasure Bay".
In 2011, after 10 years of planning and negotiation, Shanghai Disneyland finally settled in the dust and started construction in Pudong. Among the six major scenic spots of Shanghai Disneyland, only Treasure Bay is the world's first top-notch technology project with the story of "Pirates of the Caribbean" as the background, with simulated ship models, performing arts sets, sound, light, electricity and other multimedia.
The Treasure Bay project contains a large number of performing arts sets, including model design, art modeling, projection visual effects, performing arts control, comprehensive creativity, special effects, main lighting, performance lighting, scene spray painting murals, comprehensive performance sets, static props, mobile props, audio and video, artificial plants and other nearly 100 professional teams.
Through strong resource integration capabilities, the project jointly established the Performing Arts Division with well-known film and television studios in China, and carried out precise planning and construction with the Disney performing arts team from set and ship model installation to sound, light and electrical commissioning. At the same time, in order to participate in the construction of the project faster and better, the project department has introduced some foreigners and personnel who have worked for Hong Kong Disneyland to join, they understand the owner's thinking, and through smooth communication, they have achieved zero barrier communication with the owner, and Treasure Bay has also become the last and fastest professional project in the Disney park.
There are nearly 80,000 pieces of components in Treasure Bay that need to be accurately positioned and installed, and these complex special-shaped components should be projected and positioned on the ground before installation, and then tested and spliced, and then dozens of processes such as detailed chiseling, grinding, aging, painting, and coloring should be carried out. In order to speed up the progress and ensure that the components can accurately "go back to their homes", the Performing Arts Division boldly proposed the scheme of lofting positioning on the site after many demonstrations, and introduced the "spider crane" for hoisting for the first time in a small indoor space. When the 80,000 components were installed in place without errors, the American experts gave a thumbs up and smiled. In the face of the praise, Chen Xinkui, manager of the project's performing arts division, smiled faintly, "We just want to prove that we have not lost the spirit of craftsmanship while pursuing the speed of construction." Because we stand for Chinese quality!"
Ingenuity to build the "Gate of the Times"
As an important "experimental field" nurtured in the past ten years of the construction of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, the highland of Lingang New Area has developed rapidly in the past four years and is becoming a "city" for young people.
In this young city full of youthful vitality, the "tallest" West Island Financial Center project in Lingang undertaken by the East China Company of China Construction Second Bureau has also been climbing upwards with momentum. With its unique twin towers in the shape of "1", the Lingang West Island Financial Center project has become a landmark building, symbolizing the important moment of the intersection of the "two centennials", representing the vision of not forgetting the original intention and creating the gate of the times and the pearl of brilliance. The project consists of two 195-metre-high towers with a cleverly connected conical superstructure, demonstrating the perfect combination of modern architectural aesthetics and structural engineering, but it was a huge challenge for the construction team. "You are responsible for imagining, we are responsible for realizing!" At the meeting, Han Xu, the chief engineer of the project, said arrogantly to the designer. To connect the two towers, two steel cones with a total weight of 2,200 tons were designed. These cones need to be installed precisely at high altitudes, with a maximum installation height of 189.4 meters, a lifting height of 155 meters, and a cantilevered length of 27 meters, involving the precision assembly of more than 1,500 components.
In order to ensure the safety and efficiency of the construction, the project team drew on the experience of similar projects at home and abroad, and finally selected the overall lifting technology of steel structure hydraulic after in-depth research and many technical demonstrations. The technology integrates advanced technologies such as mechanical, hydraulic, computer control and sensor monitoring to overcome the limitations of traditional lifting processes in terms of lifting height, weight and working space.
In addition, the unique design of the hydraulic synchronous lifter, with mechanical and hydraulic self-locking devices, ensures that the steel structure can stay in the air stably for a long time during the lifting process. On November 23, 2023, the steel structure cone of the West Island Financial Center project was fully completed, which also marked the official completion of the intersection of the two "1s" of the "Twin Towers" project at an altitude of 158.5 meters. It fully demonstrates the high level of modern building construction and the professional ability of the project team.
Over the years, China Construction Second Bureau has also successively built many projects in Pudong, such as the academy community and the Lingang campus of Pudong Hospital. If Pudong is facing the world. Then, a group of builders have taken root in Pudong, and "building" proves that Pudong is developing and opening up to the world, which is also a magnificent heroic epic.
