At the meeting, the relevant persons in charge of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Zhongguancun Management Committee, and Zhongguancun New Technology and New Product Promotion Department introduced the overall situation of the parallel forum of the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference.
With the theme of "Innovation: Building a Better World", the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference will be held from April 25 to 29, and will set up five major sections: forum meetings, technology transactions, results release, cutting-edge competitions, and supporting activities, and hold nearly 120 activities.
As an important part of the forum, the parallel forum will focus on scientific and technological frontiers and hot topics such as artificial intelligence, space science, life and health, carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and future industries, and a total of 60 forums will be held by national ministries and commissions, international organizations, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other provinces and cities, inviting the world's top scientists, well-known entrepreneurs, and representatives of international science and technology organizations to discuss open innovation, seek common development opportunities, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a better world.
This year's parallel forum will have three main features:
- First, there is high international participation, with hundreds of foreign guests from nearly 80 countries and regions expected to share innovative ideas.
- Second, the theme covers a wide range, and a number of thematic forums will be held around the frontier of science and technology, new quality productivity, open ecology, scientific and technological talents, scientific and technological governance, and other fields. From April 27th to 29th, the China Science Fiction Conference will also be held in Shougang Park, Shijingshan District.
- Third, closely following the pulse of the times, nearly 100 experts and scholars at or above the academician level, including Nobel Prize, Fields Medal and Turing Award winners, will be invited to deliver keynote speeches.

International Forum for the Decade of Science
On the afternoon of April 25, the Conference Center of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone will hold the International Forum on the Decade of Science, and 13 guests from 8 countries will participate in the keynote speeches, keynote speeches and summit dialogues of the forum.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Center, the theme of the "Science Decade" originated from the resolution of the International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development 2024-2033 adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in August 2023. The purpose of the resolution is to promote the use of science for sustainable development and to foster a new scientific culture in which "science is promoted by all, and science benefits everyone".
2024 is the first year of the Decade of Science, and this year's Forum is the first in-person conference on this topic to be held globally this year. Global Women in Technology Innovation Forum
On April 27, the 2024 Global Women in Science and Technology Innovation Forum with the theme of "Stimulating Her Vitality and Creating New Kinetic Energy" will invite Yau Chengtong, the first Chinese winner of the Fields Medal, and three Chinese and foreign female scientists to give keynote speeches, and Tu Youyou, China's first Nobel Prize winner in physiology or medicine, will send a message to female scientific and technological workers. In addition, the forum also set up a display of women in science and technology, the promotion of women's scientific and technological innovation achievements, roundtable dialogues, and the release of the new cycle project of spring bud science and technology girls.
Tai Liehong, Director of the Development Department of the All-China Women's Federation, introduced the situation of the new cycle project of Chunlei Science and Technology Girls. Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Innovation and High-Quality Development Forum
On April 27, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Innovation and High-Quality Development Forum with the theme of "Building an Innovation Community and Empowering a Better Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" will focus on collaborative innovation and industrial collaboration, systematically summarize the achievements of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative innovation experience in the past ten years, sign three types of collaborative innovation projects, show the effectiveness of three-dimensional collaborative innovation, launch a list of three major innovation needs, and launch the first regional innovation map.
The relevant person in charge of the Science and Technology Cooperation and Support Cooperation Office of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Management Committee said that the science and technology departments of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have sorted out a number of major scientific and technological needs and collaborative innovation achievements, which will be released with the help of the platform of the forum to promote the exchange and sharing of scientific and technological innovation resources in the three places.
There are three categories of collaborative innovation achievements. The UHD Audiovisual Technology Innovation and Development Forum with the theme of "Digital Intelligence Empowering Future Audiovisual" will also be held on April 27. The forum focuses on the coordinated development of the ultra-high-definition industry, and will focus on the optimization and upgrading of the whole industry chain, application scenario innovation, and ultra-high-definition empowerment content creation.

Global Unicorn Conference
On April 28 and 29, the inaugural Global Unicorn Conference will open with a main conference and parallel sessions, respectively. With the theme of "Cultivating New Quality Productivity and Developing New Economic Momentum", the conference will gather nearly 150 domestic and foreign unicorn enterprises and nearly 100 investment institutions, financial institutions and professional service institutions to discuss innovation and development, and release the list of Chinese unicorn enterprises. The parallel meeting arranged nearly 30 top domestic and foreign capitals, including the Middle East, to connect with unicorn companies and provide relevant financing services.
The relevant person in charge of Zhongguancun High-tech Industry Promotion Center interpreted Beijing's measures to cultivate and serve unicorn enterprises.
