At the press conference on the development of industry and information technology in the first quarter of 2024 held by the Information Office of the State Council, Shan Zhongde, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the latest progress in the construction of computing infrastructure, and by the end of 2023, the total scale of data center racks in use in mainland China exceeded 8.1 million standard racks, and the total scale of computing power reached 230EFLOPS, that is, 230 exascale floating point operations per second.
