At this time, when he went to Beijing, first, he was close to the central government and the chairman, second, he returned to the army, and third, he was engaged in logistics, which was to realize his dream of "strengthening the army", so Huang Kecheng was very happy.
Huang Kecheng went to Beijing for a short rest, and in October he took over the post of third deputy chief of general staff and director and political commissar of the general logistics department of the People's Liberation Army, presiding over the work of the general logistics department.
After the Korean War, in which the "logistics war" was fought, the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission held that it was necessary to strengthen the modernization of the logistics of the whole army.
Engaged in army logistics, Huang Kecheng knows the way out, plus a group of leaders of the General Logistics Department, hiding in the Northeast and other places to work together, everyone is almost familiar with his thoughts and temper, so Huang Kecheng went straight to the topic as soon as he took office:
"I have always believed that leading any work must take the initiative, and must not be pushed by the work and become a passive situation, no matter how messy and difficult things are, we must quickly open up the situation!"
Subsequently, Huang Kecheng carried out the work of the general rear with his usual style, vigorously and resolutely, he first ran around the army, and then convened a meeting of the leaders of the general rear, at the meeting, he raised a question:
"What is lacking in the logistics of the whole army now?"
The following answers are varied, and Huang Kecheng waved his hand:
"Lack of people! None of them are right!",

"In the past, some people were engaged in military affairs and some people were engaged in politics, but they were unwilling to engage in the rear and logistics, and in the past, under the influence of tradition, fund-raising and food raising were simplified, and logistics was not properly learned. ”

From August 1952 to the beginning of 1953, it was the years when Huang Kecheng went to Beijing to do the work of the century in the General Logistics Department.
Just when the logistics work was in full swing, a phone call also changed Huang Kecheng's fate, and the "grievances" with Wu Faxian were also concluded.......
Wu Faxian applied for medical parole, and Huang Kecheng ignored his previous suspicions
On August 17, 1959, a plane landed in Beijing, and there was no welcoming crowd at the blazing airport in the western suburbs.....
Prior to this, Wu Faxian was on duty at the airport command post in accordance with the regulations of the Air Force Party Committee, and learned that Huang Kecheng, He Long, Mr. Peng and others were here, and went to the airport to meet them, according to Wu Faxian's recollection:
"At that time, there was no one else at the airport except for me and the driver of He Long and other four people. ”
As soon as he got home, the secretary received a phone call, tomorrow he will go to Huairentang for a meeting to attend the enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission, and the next day, Huang Kecheng arrived at the meeting according to the notice time, and all the marshals and generals who attended the meeting except for Mr. Peng, Huang Kecheng, and the sick Xu Haidong.
Wu Faxian and Huang Kecheng were in the summer of 1940, the fifth column of the Eighth Route Army was established, Huang Kecheng served as the commander and political commissar, and Wu Faxian was the director of the Political Department.
After the two worked together for many years, Huang Kecheng was responsible for commanding the operation on the front line, and Wu Faxian was the rear to mobilize the masses and raise grain and grass.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wu Faxian entered the Air Force and served as the political commissar of the Air Force in 1957, Huang Kecheng first worked in Hunan, and two years later entered Beijing to serve, and in the winter of 1958, he became the chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army.
Therefore, during Huang Kecheng's trough period, his old subordinate Wu Faxian fell into the ground, and in Wu Faxian's later years, he was also very guilty, and expressed his apologies to the old chief many times.
At the end of the 11th Plenary Session of the Central Committee in 1977, Huang Kecheng was elected as an adviser to the Central Military Commission.
Huang Kecheng is still in that habit, he is good at investigation and research before work, and when his old subordinates come to see him, he will say it one by one.
In 1981, Wu Faxian, a former subordinate, was duly punished, but considering his contributions to the party in the past, the organization agreed to release him on medical parole, but the premise was that Huang Kecheng agreed.
Hearing the news, Wu Faxian's wife persuaded Wu Faxian to come to the door for help, and she personally came to the door to ask for help, when Huang Kecheng was not at home, she asked Huang Kecheng's wife Tang Dihua for help:
"Wu Faxian is not in good health and wants to be released on medical parole, and I also hope that Huang Lao will agree to accompany me and take care of him......."
When Huang Kecheng returned home, his wife said as soon as possible:
"You're back, you can't be soft-hearted this time. ”
When Huang Kecheng heard that it was Wu Faxian's request, before he could speak, Huang Kecheng's wife Tang Dihua said angrily:
"As soon as I think of it, I feel angry",
At this time, General Huang Kecheng was also angry in his heart, but Huang Kecheng, as a senior leading cadre of the party, could not repay his grievances with virtue.
Huang Kecheng said:
"He is seriously ill, and according to the principle of humanitarianism, Wu Faxian can apply for medical parole and go to Shanghai for treatment, and there is nothing wrong with it, we will still be lenient and can find someone to help him go through the judicial process and give him medical parole. ”
After Huang Kecheng finished speaking, the staff and his wife around him felt very incredible, and the staff said:
"Huang Lao, if everyone in the world is as ignorant and broad-minded as you, there won't be so many struggles!"
Later, under Huang Kecheng's personal interrogation, Wu Faxian successfully applied for medical parole, and Huang Kecheng also specially emphasized: "Take Wu Faxian's wife over to take care of his body and life." ”
Huang Kecheng not only did not pursue the past, but also was very careful, and considered the future life problems for Wu Faxian, which made the comrades around him very admired:
"General Huang Kecheng is really a noble character, which is very admirable."
When Wu Faxian learned about it, he was both moved and ashamed, and he cried bitterly and said: "Old chief, I was sorry for you at the time...... He also said that he had felt guilty for many years, and begged Huang Lao for forgiveness.
In fact, since Huang Kecheng returned to work, after serving as the executive secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, many comrades who made mistakes at that time came to the door to ask for help and apologized for their behavior.
"I don't have any opinion on you, now that everything has passed, you will do more work for the party and the country in the future!"
In 1985, Huang Kecheng's physical condition deteriorated and became more and more serious, so he asked his secretary to write a report to the Central Committee:
"This is my long-standing wish, and I once again request approval to step down from the post of member of the Standing Committee and second secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and to have an outstanding comrade in the prime of life assume this leadership work as soon as possible. ”
On December 28, 1986, Huang Kecheng passed away, and his wife Tang Dihua could no longer hold back her tears and choked up:
