In order to further improve the emergency monitoring and response and actual combat capabilities, effectively respond to excessive floods and various emergency water emergencies, and fully implement the "four precautions" requirements put forward by the Ministry of Water Resources, on April 18, the Municipal Hydrological Bureau organized the 2024 hydrological emergency monitoring and reporting drill in Taipingxi, Hecheng District.
The drill simulated an over-standard rainstorm and flood in Huaihua urban area, which washed away a mining area, and at the same time caused a river water pollution emergency, and the disaster was serious. The hydrological emergency monitoring team immediately rushed to the hard-hit areas to collect and analyze data such as water level, flow, and water quality, and issued downstream hydrological warnings in a timely manner to provide hydrological data support for the government's flood relief.
During the exercise, the team members of each group had a clear division of labor, performed their duties, worked together to quickly carry out emergency monitoring, and methodically carried out the installation of pressure water level gauge and self-recording rain gauge, water quality monitoring, UAV radar wave, navigation ADCP, handheld radar wave, Zhonghong buoy method, polar coordinate method flow test and other drill projects. After an hour of intense operation, the hydrological data such as water level, flow, and water quality were successfully obtained, and all the drill items were successfully completed.
The drill took the business training year as an opportunity to strengthen the ability of new employees and improve their ability to deal with emergencies.
