Eliminating mosquitoes in early spring can reduce the density of mosquitoes during the peak hours of the year, and achieve "early mosquito eradication in spring and less bites in summer".
"Since March 28, we have been focusing on mosquito control in early spring. At present, mosquito monitoring and chemical sanitize have been carried out in various manholes and breeding water bodies in 91 areas, including University Town, Chengnan Community, Xiyuetan Community, Senxiangan Community, and five major venues. Up to now, 3,865 manholes have been discharged, with a water area of about 150,000 square meters, a green plant area of about 150,000 square meters, about 885 liters of sanitizing drugs have been used, and about 77 kilograms of granules have been put into it. ”
From December last year to March this year, Karamay District has carried out two rounds of wintering mosquito sanitize in warm, humid and quiet environments such as basements, heating pipes and ditches in all public areas under its jurisdiction. In accordance with the requirements of mosquito prevention and control in Karamay District, in the later stage, the District Health Commission will kill adult mosquitoes in green plants in public areas by increasing sanitize vehicles and strengthening manual spraying operations during the morning and dusk periods when mosquitoes are active in the morning and dusk, and implement drone flight prevention sanitize for large areas of water bodies in the jurisdiction. At the same time, biological mosquito control methods will be adopted, and suitable peripheral water bodies will be selected to release fish fry, frogs, etc., to reduce the density of mosquitoes in the water body.
"Mosquito control is a long-term, systematic project that requires the joint efforts of everyone. Xu Yangming said that the "Karamay City Vector Organism Prevention and Control Management Measures" was promulgated in 2021, stipulating that the prevention and control of vector organisms including mosquitoes and flies shall implement a unit responsibility system, that is, organs at all levels, social groups, enterprises and institutions, communities (villages) and other institutions shall establish a daily vector organism prevention and control system, fulfill the obligation of preventing and controlling vector organisms, and avoid and reduce the occurrence of vector biological hazards. Therefore, all enterprises, public institutions, and the general public should also actively participate in the patriotic sanitation campaign, promptly clean up the blind spots of sanitation, reduce mosquito breeding, and create a clean, tidy, healthy and comfortable living environment.
