About the meeting

With the rapid development of science and technology, artificial intelligence has become an important force to promote social progress. In this era, we are fortunate to witness and participate in the innovation and application of Distributed Artificial Intelligence (DAI), which is a feast of technology and wisdom, and an exploration of the unlimited potential of the future.

Distributed artificial intelligence, that is, intelligent learning, perception, and decision-making are scattered on multiple independent terminals in the scene. In this era of data explosion and information interconnection, distributed artificial intelligence is changing the way we live and work due to the characteristics of decentralization and distribution. They can learn independently, collaborate seamlessly, effectively cope with complex and changeable environments, and provide us with more intelligent, efficient and low-cost solutions, which has become one of the cutting-edge scientific research directions of artificial intelligence today.

Distributed agents, distributed artificial intelligence, and LLM agents are key technologies in the field of artificial intelligence, and their development and application have attracted widespread attention around the world. Large Language Model (LLM)-based agent is an emerging research direction in the field of artificial intelligence. LLM-based Agents have shown great potential in natural language interaction, knowledge reasoning, and task planning by combining the powerful language understanding and generation capabilities of large models. In 2016, OpenAI released the OpenAI Gym and Universe platforms for developing and testing AI agents. In 2022, the popularity of LLM technology was further boosted by the release of ChatGPT, which is capable of conducting natural language conversations and providing users with a more intuitive interactive experience. AI Agent is taking over the baton of large language model LLM and has become the hottest topic in the AI circle. The application potential of LLM Agents such as Auto-GPT, AutoGen, HuggingGPT, and LangChain Agent in different fields, from gaming and programming to automation of daily tasks, is gradually changing the way we interact with technology and will play an even more important role in the future.

In 2019, some internationally renowned scholars in the field of multi-agent systems launched the International Conference on Distributed Artificial Intelligence - DAI, which is committed to creating a high-level international exchange platform that connects relevant research groups at home and abroad, bringing together researchers and practitioners from different fields, including artificial general intelligence, multi-agent systems, distributed learning, and computational game theory. By providing a high-profile, internationally renowned forum, DAI promotes research on the theory and practice of distributed AI. Up to now, DAI has been successfully held in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and other places.

DAI 2024, the 6th International Conference on Distributed Artificial Intelligence, will be held at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from December 18 to December 22, 2024. This event will bring together the world's top researchers and practitioners to discuss and share the latest research results and practical experience of distributed AI. In addition to the high-level submissions of the conference, DAI 2024 also invited the authors of top conferences in the field of artificial intelligence (such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAI, etc.) from major universities and research institutions at home and abroad to give on-site reports, aiming to present a feast in the field of top artificial intelligence.

Important note to authors about the new ACM open access publishing model

Important notice to authors about ACM's new open access publishing model:

ACM introduces a new open access publishing model for the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). Authors whose institutions have not yet joined the ACM Open Program and are not eligible for exemption will be required to pay an Article Processing Fee (APC) to publish their ICPS articles in the ACM Digital Library. In order to find out if you need to pay APC for your article, follow the detailed guide here: https://www.acm.org/publications/icps/author-guidance.

More information can be found on the ACM website as follows:

Full details of the new ICPS publishing model: https://www.acm.org/publications/icps/faq

Full details of the ACM Open Program: https://www.acm.org/publications/openaccess

Please send all your questions about the new model to [email protected].

We encourage the submission of theoretical, empirical, and opinion papers to advance the in-depth understanding and application of the field of distributed AI. All submitted papers will undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the high quality and scholarly value of the conference content.

Conference features:

大会亮点一:大会特别设立"Agent Day"

In order to further promote the application and popularization of agent technology, DAI 2024 has set up a special "Agent Day" to showcase the practical application of agent technology in various industries, as well as innovative cases of human interaction. On this day, participants will have the opportunity to experience presentations and exchanges on multiple topics such as large language model agents, multi-agent systems, human-machine collaboration and interaction, etc. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in agent technology demonstrations and panel discussions. It covers the latest multi-agent systems and use cases, including robotic collaboration, automated decision support systems, and more. Industry experts and scholars have in-depth discussions on the development trends, challenges and future prospects of agent technology, and at this year's conference, we specially invited Jim Fan, a leading figure in artificial intelligence, the head of NVIDIA's Gearlab Lab, and a senior researcher in artificial intelligence, to bring a feast of AI thoughts.

The "Agent Day" will be a highlight of the conference, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience and learn more about agent technology, as well as a platform to promote exchanges and cooperation between academia and industry.
