The 75 years of the People's Republic of China: the rule of law
On May 1, 1950, the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China, which abolished the feudal marriage system, came into force. This new China's first law, which has only 8 chapters and 27 articles, reflects the party's special care for women and children, and is a great initiative of the party to protect women's rights and interests and promote equality between men and women. On June 28 of the same year, the Central People's Government Committee passed the Land Reform Law of the People's Republic of China, abolishing the feudal land system. Since then, there has been a legal guarantee for the Chinese people to truly "stand up."
The comic strip "Two Great Laws Against Feudalism" records the history of the implementation of the "Marriage Law" and the "Land Reform Law" in the early days of the founding of New China, and is an important historical witness to the progress of the legal system construction of New China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
