On April 18, the Huayuan Road community carried out a national hands-on activity of "picking up garbage and dividing garbage".
Before the event, Zeng Nina, secretary of the community party committee, explained in detail the importance of garbage classification at the mobilization meeting. During the activity, volunteers brought brooms, dustpans, tongs, and sorted and cleaned up all kinds of garbage in the corridors and green belts in the public areas, and some of the volunteers used tongs to pick up other garbage in the green belt of the five villages of the ancient building, such as used napkins, cigarette butts, broken bowls, etc., some used brooms to clean up the white garbage and leaves inside and outside the corridors, and some used their own hands to pick up recyclable garbage mineral water bottles and glass bottles. Everyone divided labor and cooperated, and in one hour, all kinds of garbage in Gulou No. 4 Village and Gulou No. 5 Village were sorted and cleaned, and sorted into garbage sorting garbage bins. The party members took the lead in the garbage classification activities, which not only strengthened the awareness of garbage classification among residents in the jurisdiction, but also beautified and cleaned the environmental sanitation of public areas.
A total of 65 people participated in this national hands-on activity, including party members of the Huayuan Road community party committee, party branch members, residents, and community workers.
