On April 18, the Mazhang District Government held the launching ceremony of the Mazhang District Ring Bus in the Mazhang Bus Station, marking the official opening of the Ring Bus Line between Mazhang Station and Taiping Station.
This ring bus route is an important route of the Mazhang Urban and Rural Public Transport Integration Project, and is an important measure for the counterpart assistance and cooperation working group (hereinafter referred to as the "working group") dispatched by Baiyun District of Guangzhou to Zhanjiang City to help the Mazhang District Government implement "I do practical things for the masses", promote the high-quality integrated development of urban and rural areas, and solve the practical problems of people's livelihood in Mazhang District.
Focus on people's livelihood and help solve the problem of urban and rural travel
Mazhang District has jurisdiction over three towns, namely Mazhang, Huguang and Taiping, of which Taiping Town is located in the southwest of Mazhang, and the distance from Mazhang Town, the center of culture and education, public security, health and economy, is more than 30 kilometers. For a long time, the residents of Taiping Town suffer from inconvenient transportation, and take the bus to Mazhang District to do things need to take a bus from Taiping Town to Xiashan District, and then transfer to the bus from Xiashan to Mazhang, the whole journey time is more than two hours, and the whole ticket price is more than 12 yuan.
The bus on this route has been suspended for many years due to business reasons, and it has also been included in the ten practical matters of people's livelihood in Mazhang District in 2023, but it has not been able to resume due to financial problems. After the working group was stationed in Mazhang, it focused on the basic needs of people's livelihood and industrial assistance, and through in-depth research, learned about the travel problems of the people in Taiping Town and Huguang Town in Mazhang. In accordance with the relevant requirements of the counterpart cooperation work, the working group supported the Mazhang urban and rural public transport integration project fund of 3 million yuan, assisted the Mazhang District Government to implement the problem of urban and rural integration development, invested 4 buses, all models are new energy vehicles, and opened the bus line that runs through Mazhang Town, Huguang Town, and Taiping Town.

The route of the bus around the area is from Mazhang to Taiping. The whole bus route passes through the intersection of Minle Middle Road, Mazhang Taxation Bureau, New Campus of Health School, Zhengtong West Road, Duhao Village, Zhanjiang West Railway Station, Fengjiatang Village, Qunjing Village, Huguang Town Government, Huguang Town Health Center, Huguang Town Second Middle School, Xinlian Village, Taiping Station and other stations, the route covers 3 towns in the jurisdiction, 14 pairs of stops are set up along the way, all stations are up and down at any time, and various payment methods such as cash, mobile WeChat and Alipay are supported, which is convenient for riding. The service runs from 6:40 a.m. to 6:10 p.m., with an average of every 60 minutes. The ticket price for the whole journey is 8 yuan, which is more affordable and beneficial to the people.
