On April 17, the District Health Bureau organized an earthquake emergency drill for the health system. Solid preparations for the prevention and response to major natural disasters have been carried out, and the response and handling capabilities of the health emergency response team have been tested and improved.
The simulation scenario of this drill is that a 5.6-magnitude earthquake occurred in our district, and all medical institutions immediately activated the earthquake emergency plan to evacuate patients, people and staff in an emergency and orderly manner. At the same time, the District Health Bureau immediately organized a medical emergency team to rush to the disaster area to treat the injured. During the exercise, two hospitals, Yingkou People's Hospital and Xiongyue Community Health Service Center, conducted earthquake emergency drills in accordance with the two exercises of "emergency avoidance" and "emergency evacuation". When a simulated earthquake occurs, the people in the building quickly find the nearest evacuation site, and after the main earthquake, the participants evacuate to the outdoor open space through safe passages and exits in an orderly manner, and the staff helps the patients escape. At the same time, the medical emergency team of Yingkou People's Hospital urgently assembled and quickly carried medical supplies to the earthquake-stricken area. After the firefighters rescued the injured from the building, the first responders quickly transferred them to a medical tent in the emergency shelter in a 120 ambulance for treatment. Subsequently, the district CDC carried out epidemic prevention and control, health education, environmental sanitation and drinking water safety supervision and inspection in the affected areas.
In this emergency drill, all departments cooperated closely and acted quickly, and successfully completed the earthquake rescue task, which improved the combat effectiveness of the health system in the whole region, strengthened the emergency response and disposal ability of the health emergency team, and ensured that the losses caused by the disaster were minimized when the earthquake came, and the lives of the people, patients and hospital employees were protected.
The units participating in the drill included the District Health Bureau, the District Emergency Bureau, the District Fire and Rescue Brigade, the District Red Cross, Jinhaigang Primary School, the District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Yingkou Municipal People's Hospital, and the Xiongyue Community Health Service Center.
