Late night rescue and obstacle clearance
In the early morning of April 17, affected by thunderstorms and strong winds, the road trees in Shachong Village, Ertang Town, Pingle County, National Highway 323 suddenly broke, and the lodging road trees lay across the road surface, affecting the safety of passing vehicles and pedestrians.

After receiving the report, the Pingle Highway Maintenance Center quickly activated the emergency plan, organized the rescue team and deployed machinery and equipment to carry out road inspection and roadblock cleaning work as soon as possible. At the rescue site, the rescue personnel quickly set up safety signs, and then sawed and transported the broken trees, cleaned up the fallen branches, and quickly restored the safe passage of the road. The maintenance center dispatched more than 10 rescue personnel to deal with and clean up 4 broken branches of road trees, effectively maintaining the safety of roads in the jurisdiction.

Clear the fallen road tree
On April 17, the maintenance personnel of the Xing'an Highway Maintenance Center carried out road inspections and found that a large tree on the Lieshui Bridge in the Baili section of National Highway 322 was affected by heavy rainfall and fell on the side of the road, and the branches and leaves occupied most of the road surface, seriously affecting road safety.

The maintenance center quickly mobilized rescue personnel and mechanical forces, and set up warning signs as soon as possible after rushing to the scene to guide vehicles to pass in an orderly manner. At the same time, the fallen trees are cut and cleared. After more than an hour of hard work, the fallen road trees were cleared and the section of the road was restored to clearing.

Carry out hidden danger investigation during the flood season
Recently, the Fangcheng Highway Maintenance Center organized and carried out the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers in the flood season, and carried out centralized investigation and rectification of roadbed settlement, protective fences, bridge protection facilities and continuous long steep slopes, water and cliffs, and road sections prone to collapse, and strengthened the rectification of potential safety hazards such as poor highway drainage facilities and road trees that affect driving safety. At the same time, timely overhaul of flood control machinery and equipment, inventory and replenishment of emergency reserve materials, and build a solid flood prevention and preparation safety embankment.

Up to now, the maintenance center has pruned 100 kilometers of road trees, cleaned 15,000 meters of ditches, cleaned 6,400 square meters of spilled objects on the shoulder, dredged 14 culverts, dredged 25 bridge drainage holes, and repaired 218.5 square meters of road surface.

At the same time, the highway maintenance department in the jurisdiction is required to carry out maintenance work in strict accordance with the technical specifications for highway maintenance, dredge the highway drainage system in a timely manner, and weave a dense and safe flood protection network.
