As one of the most congested intersections in the city, Guangcai intersection will be renovated by building overpasses. A few days ago, the 2024 urban construction plan approved by the municipal government has been clear, and this project is about to start construction and is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year!
The intersection of Dengcheng Avenue and Chunyuan Road is not only an important passage in and out of the city in the east-west direction, but also the only way to pass through several major markets and residential areas nearby, with a daily traffic flow of more than 120,000 vehicles, and a traffic flow of about 20,000 vehicles per hour during peak hours, and the phenomenon of long queues of vehicles waiting to pass is very common. Therefore, the interchange transformation here has been included in this year's urban construction plan.
Dengcheng Avenue Guangcai Intersection Node Interchange Reconstruction Project, planning to build a new east-west main line viaduct of Dengcheng Avenue, and at the same time build a new Dengcheng Avenue from east to south left turn ramp, so that the main traffic in the past does not need to wait for the traffic light to pass quickly.
According to reports, the planning of this overpass has been basically determined, with an investment of about 300 million yuan, between the Jiaoliu Railway in the east and the Qinghe Three Bridges in the west, a viaduct of about 1,000 meters long will be built to cross Chunyuan Road and Runhe Road. After the completion of the overpass, vehicles passing through these two intersections in the east-west direction will be able to pass directly from the viaduct. At the same time, above this viaduct, a left-turn ramp bridge about 900 meters long will be built from east to south on Dengcheng Avenue, and vehicles turning left from east to south can pass directly from this ramp.
Tenders have now been completed for the renovation of the overpass. The bidding period of the project is two years, and according to the construction arrangement, the construction organization will be optimized, and it is planned to be completed by the end of next year. At that time, the traffic congestion here is expected to be greatly reduced.
