Long-term fatigue and hunger may be a lack of energy

author:Pharmacist Li talks about health

Have you ever experienced:

Sometimes I suddenly feel like I want to sleep, and I still feel very tired after sleeping all day;

Sometimes I suddenly feel like I want to eat, and I can't eat enough after eating a lot......

Long-term fatigue and hunger may be a lack of energy

You may think that this is a normal physiological reaction or a psychological need, but in fact, this is the body sending you a distress signal: your essence, qi, and blood are insufficient~~

In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, essence, qi and blood are the three basic substances that maintain the vital activities of the human body.

Jing is the most basic substance of the human body, mainly related to growth and reproduction, and is the raw material for various tissues and organs;

Qi is the source of the body's power, promoting all physiological activities, maintaining the body's temperature and resisting diseases;

Blood is the carrier of nutrients that reach every corner of the body, ensuring that every part of the body receives the necessary nutrients and energy.

These three support each other and transform each other: essence can be transformed into qi, which in turn can help form blood, which in turn can nourish essence. It's like an interlocking ecosystem, where each part depends on the other to maintain overall balance and health. If any of these three are insufficient, the entire system will suffer, leading to health problems.

What are the symptoms of insufficient sperm, qi and blood?

Lack of sperm - excessive desire

"Sperm insufficiency" usually refers to kidney sperm deficiency. In the eyes of traditional Chinese medicine, the kidneys are like an "energy kettle" that stores kidney essence. When there is not enough water in this kettle, we have a strong desire to fill it. In the same way, when there is not enough "essence" in the kidneys, people will feel a particularly strong desire because the body wants to replenish the missing energy.

On the other hand, if the essence of the kidneys is sufficient, like a kettle full of water, then the person will not have too strong desire, because the body feels balanced and does not need additional supplements. Generally speaking, people with good kidney function do not have a strong X desire because they are already "full". People with poor kidney function may have strong X desires, but in fact, their bodies are not really suitable for excessive activity. It will only consume more kidney essence, making the kidney essence more deficient, forming a vicious circle.

In addition, the deficiency of kidney essence will also affect people's mental state, which can easily lead to inattentive thinking and divergence, which is manifested as more thinking or more distracting thoughts.

Lack of blood – sleepiness

In TCM theory, the body's blood is like a river that nourishes the body, carrying nutrients and oxygen to nourish every organ and tissue. When the river is running low on water, the entire ecosystem, i.e., the human body, becomes exhausted by the lack of necessary nutrients. In response to this energy crisis, the body instinctively increases the amount of rest and sleep it takes, trying to conserve energy by reducing activity.

However, just as a lake that has been out of water for a long time can lead to poor water quality, too much sleep can slow down the flow of qi and blood in the body, further reducing the blood supply to critical organs such as the heart. The weakening of this function can make people feel more depressed and have memory loss, forming a vicious circle.

Lack of qi – polyphagia

The body's Qi is like the power provided by an engine, which is a key energy source that drives the normal functioning of all bodily functions. When the energy of this "engine" is insufficient, the operation of the whole body will appear slow and weak, which is manifested as an overall decline in body function.

To compensate for this lack of motivation, the body instinctively seeks more fuel, which manifests itself in an increased appetite and attempts to obtain the necessary nutrients and energy by consuming more food. It's like a car running out of fuel and constantly filling up to make sure it can continue driving.

However, if overfueled, the vehicle's fuel tank may be stressed because it can't handle the extra fuel, and the same goes for the human body. When too much food is consumed, this can increase the burden on the spleen and stomach, leading to indigestion or other related health problems.

Therefore, we should not simply do things according to the immediate reaction of the body, but understand the actual situation of the body, regulate our behavior, and fundamentally regulate our essence, qi and blood.

How to regulate the lack of essence, qi and blood?

Traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions are one of the main means of TCM to regulate the body. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and long-term clinical experience, natural herbs are combined according to a certain proportion. There are 3 kinds of formulas commonly used to nourish essence, qi and blood:

1. Kirin Maru

It is mainly used to treat various symptoms caused by kidney essence deficiency, such as soreness in the waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, impotence and premature ejaculation, menstrual irregularities, etc. It is composed of 15 herbs: dodder seed, wolfberry seed, raspberry, black lotus, epimedium weed, Suoyang, codonopsis, turmeric, yam, salvia, astragalus, white peony, Polygonum multiflori, green bark, mulberry. These herbs can be coordinated with each other to nourish both the yin and yang of the kidney, thus restoring the essence of the kidney.

2. Shenling Atractylodes Powder

A classic qi tonic prescription mainly used to treat symptoms of qi deficiency, such as fatigue and loss of appetite. It is composed of ginseng, atractylodes, poria cocos, licorice, etc., which can effectively enhance physical strength, improve the digestion and absorption capacity of the spleen and stomach, thereby indirectly enhancing the production of qi and blood.

3. Siwu soup

It is a representative prescription for blood tonics, which is composed of four herbs: Angelica sinensis, Rehmannia, White Peony and Chuanxiong, which is mainly used to treat symptoms such as paleness, fatigue and weakness caused by blood deficiency, and irregular menstruation. It enhances overall health by nourishing the blood and improving blood quality.

Of course, it is necessary to cooperate with some other methods to strengthen the recuperation effect of essence, qi and blood. For example, pay attention to the regularity and balance of the diet, avoid spicy and greasy food, and eat more foods rich in protein, vitamins and minerals.
