In the face of the drought "baking" test, Baoxiu Town made careful preparations, concentrated manpower and material resources, increased water supply security, strengthened technical guidance services, and ensured that tobacco seedlings were transplanted in the best season.
In the flue-cured tobacco planting base of Litang Village, as far as the eye can see, the raised tobacco moisture of a ditch is neatly arranged, and it has long been ready for tobacco seedling transplanting.
Under the guidance of the technical staff in the area, the tobacco farmers shuttled between the ploughed ditches, and methodically drilled, put seedlings, mixed with water, fertilized, and sprayed pesticides...... Transplanting at a certain distance, a picture of the spring farm is drawn in the field.
It is understood that in order to ensure the quality and yield of tobacco leaves, Baoxiu Town has arranged professional and technical personnel to provide all-round guidance services from key links such as ridge formation, transplanting, management and maintenance, and baking, so as to improve confidence and increase income for tobacco farmers.
In recent years, Baoxiu Town has always taken flue-cured tobacco as a key industry according to local conditions, made full use of the land, and drove the surrounding labor force to increase income at the "doorstep". In 2024, Baoxiu Town is expected to plant more than 4,200 acres of flue-cured tobacco, and it is planned to complete transplanting before May 5.
In the next step, Baoxiu Town will increase investment in infrastructure, strengthen technology promotion, improve the quality of tobacco leaves, drive the masses to increase income, and boost rural revitalization.
