In order to further promote the reading of the whole people, create a strong bookish atmosphere, and help the construction of the "scholarly community", on the afternoon of April 17, the Zhangzhou CPPCC organs went to the Rongyu Community of Xinqiao Street to carry out the book donation activity of "Passing on the Fragrance of Books and Building Dreams".
What is given is books, civilization is preached, and hope is nurtured. The donated books are literary and historical materials edited and published by the CPPCC organs, including "Zhangzhou Kiln in the Ming and Qing Dynasties", "Overview of Zhangzhou Foreign Currency", "Zhangzhou Cliff Carvings" and other books, a total of 84 volumes, which not only make up for the lack of books in the community library, but also provide a rich cultural feast for the residents of the district.
After the donation ceremony, the participants also visited the Xinqiao Street New Era Civilization Practice Institute, the Home of Overseas Chinese and the Xinqiao Street Elderly Care Service and Care Center.
Next, Xinqiao Street will further strengthen the work of party building, resource sharing, mutual assistance and co-construction, give full play to the position advantages of the new era civilization practice (station), better meet the growing cultural life needs of the residents, and strive to build a new pattern of learning-oriented, service-oriented and innovative grassroots governance.
