In order to further enrich the children's extracurricular life and enhance the children's hands-on practical ability and learning skills, on the morning of April 18, all the children and teachers of the middle class of Houbai Center Kindergarten walked into Xifeng Village and carried out an outdoor research and practice activity.
PART.01{参观草坪村史馆}
At the Xifeng Village Committee, the children visited the Caoping Village History Museum. During the event, volunteers popularized disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge such as typhoons, earthquakes, and fires to the children through display boards, so as to ensure that they can evacuate quickly and efficiently when danger comes.
Afterwards, the volunteers introduced the types of grass to the children through pictures, so that they could understand that there are many different shapes of grass. During the whole process, the children were pleasantly surprised, actively asking questions, and full of interest.
PART.02{Visit to Xifeng Farming Museum}
Walking into the Xifeng Farming Museum, all kinds of ancient farming tools attracted the children's attention: ploughing tools and rakes, ox yokes, shovels, rice baskets, etc. The volunteers patiently introduced the names and uses of various old objects to the children, and answered various questions from the children.
At the same time, the event also invited the veteran craftsman Luo Yeshuang to demonstrate, explain and teach the children to weave straw shoes and clothes. The children watched with relish, raised various questions from time to time, and some children were eager to try and weave straw sandals in style.
PART.03{Tea Picking Experience}
In the lush Xifeng Tea Garden, volunteers taught the children to pick tea leaves while explaining, and then the children taught each other to learn from each other, carefully selected, and turned into little tea pickers to shuttle between the tea trees, carefully picking the tender green shoots, and experiencing the hardships of labor and the joy of harvest.
Education is not only in the classroom, but also allows children to go out of the school, grow knowledge in practice, be educated in the situation, and grow in the harvest. In the next step, Houbai Town will carry out more practical education activities with diverse forms and novel contents, so as to guide young people to experience unique learning in "knowledge" and "action".
