Faced with the poverty and weakness of the Qing Dynasty, he was eager to make great achievements and realize the dream in his heart. The following shares two quatrains of Wei Yuan, the first is philosophical, and the second is full of patriotic feelings.

In front of Lin Xiao, all the flowers bloomed, and most of them ran for the stream and thunder all night.
Wei Yuan, a native of Shaoyang, Hunan, was a famous thinker and writer in the late Qing Dynasty. He and Gong Zizhen are equally famous, collectively known as "Gong Wei", the two are close in academic thought and have a deep friendship with each other.
Wei Yuan was an enthusiastic researcher of social issues and Western history, and achieved remarkable results. This quatrain is written about the wonders of the deep mountains, and the poem contains philosophical meanings.
The first two sentences point to time and place, and portray a unique scene. Due to the dim light and low temperature in the gorges, the flowers in the valley bloom a little later than outside the mountains. The poet walks in the canyon surrounded by mountains, and does not feel a trace of spring, although spring has come, but those flower souls still seem to be asleep and have not woken up.
The word "lock" is beautifully described, vividly showing the environment surrounded by mountains and lush forests around the canyon, and "100,000 souls" uses exaggerated and anthropomorphic techniques to express the flourishing of flowers and trees in the mountains. Colorful, that is, colorful, multiplied.
The last two sentences are worth savoring, "The former Lin Xiao suddenly bloomed all the flowers, and most of them ran for the stream and thunder overnight." The poet said implicitly that all the flowers in the woods in front of him suddenly bloomed in the early morning, probably because after the spring rains, the mountain stream rose overnight, and the sound was like thunder, which woke up the soul of the flowers.
The ending is a novel conception and rich imagination, and the flowers must reach a certain temperature and light conditions in full bloom, and not due to being frightened by a stream. The author uses very poetic sentences to show a gorgeous spring scene of a hundred flowers blooming, and also euphemistically conveys the poet's surprise.

Wei Yuan's career was not smooth, until he was 50 years old, he was admitted to the Jinshi, and after entering the office, he served as the magistrate of Xinghua, Gaoyou and other places in Jiangsu, Zhizhou. Wei Yuan's poetry style is vigorous and unrestrained, and his landscape poems are vividly depicted, vividly depicting the magnificent scenery of famous mountains and rivers. When the author was 29 years old, he was hired by Yang Fang, the governor of Zhili, to serve as his tutor in Gubeikou, and this poem was written during this period.
Juyong Pass is in the northwest of Changping County, Beijing, and is an important pass on the Great Wall. The poet first writes about the dangerous situation in front of him, which is called Sakazaki and describes the appearance of the mountains. The poet said that he had walked about ten miles, and that he had traveled all the way through high mountains and mountains, and that he could only rest a little when he arrived here.
The second sentence continues to show the poet's eyes of Juyong Pass, the word "Lianyun" describes the towering of Juyong Pass, and the word "Tiger Crossing" refers to the tiger like a tiger, straddling the mountain in the west, describing the precipitousness of Juyong Pass. The poet looked up at Xiongguan and couldn't help but think of many battles that had taken place in this area in ancient times, and felt that the border defense here needed to be further strengthened to prevent the invasion of strong enemies from the north. "Peeping at the border" refers to spying on the frontier and guarding against the invasion of other countries; "Out of the Stopper" originally refers to the song of fighting life in the frontier in the "Out of the Stopper" of Gu Yuefu, which is here to say, the ancient stream also seems to be singing the war song of guarding the frontier.
Although Wei Yuan's career as a eunuch is not too long, and his official position is not too high, he is very loyal and patriotic, and he is very considerate of the suffering of the people. The poet also often thinks about various battles throughout the ages, and carefully studies some strategies and tactics.
