As the rotary tiller works back and forth, the green manure such as broad beans and milk vetch in the fields of Jinglingqiao Village is ploughed and returned to the field, so that the green manure can be turned into spring mud to nourish the farmland. The rumbling roar of agricultural machinery attracts flocks of egrets to forage in the fields. As of April 15, Yexie Town has completed 8,158 acres of green manure ploughing, and the green manure ploughing task is expected to end on April 20.
It is understood that Yexie Town plans to plant 37,000 mu of rice this year, of which the total area of planting high-quality early-maturing varieties "Songzaoxiang No. 1" and "Rosin Japonica 1018" is 22,000 mu, and the area of conventional varieties "Xiushui 134" is 5,000 mu. This year, it also promoted the planting of new high-quality rice varieties "Rosin Japonica 1855" and "Xiushui 613" of nearly 10,000 mu. At present, the early-maturing variety "Matsuzaoxiang No. 1" has gradually begun to soak, germinate and raise seedlings, and it is expected that machine transplanting will start on May 10. Other rice varieties are expected to be sown on May 15, and agricultural technicians will go deep into the fields to lay a good foundation for a bumper yield of autumn grain.
