But since April last year, sewage has begun to seep out of the slope protection near the Lido community in the water town, and the situation is worse on rainy days, and the sewage accumulates to form a small ditch that will also gush into the stream.

"Not only does the sewage pollute the surrounding environment, but the most important thing is that it smells so bad when it's hot, and the smell spreads to the residential buildings in the community, and we sometimes don't even dare to open the windows. Mr. Chen, a resident, said that they had complained many times, and personnel from relevant departments had also visited the scene many times, but to no avail.

However, the surrounding residents waited for a whole year and did not see the seepage point blocked. On April 15, citizens sent a video of the leak to reporters, suspecting that there were cracks in the water pipes buried under the levee. Because these pipes are sewage pipes, they are buried by two nearby communities, pass over the embankment, and then lead to the sewage treatment station.

At about 9 o'clock in the morning of the 18th, the reporter saw at the scene that the relevant departments mobilized two excavators to operate at the scene. Workers poured buckets of red water into the manhole cover in the Lido community in the water town, and then observed where the water seeped from, while the excavator dug in suspicious places.

When the reporter arrived at the scene, a pit about 4 or 5 meters deep and 2 or 3 meters long had been dug, but no suspicious points were found. At 12 noon, another large excavator entered the site again, ready to continue excavating.
As of press time, the cause of the water seepage has not been found.
