On April 17, Chongqing held a press conference on the action plan for millions of college graduates and other young people to stay in Chongqing for employment and entrepreneurship. At the scene, we saw a familiar figure - badminton Olympic champion Li Xuerui, who is now the deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Youth League Committee.
At the press conference, Li Xuerui introduced that the Youth League Municipal Committee will implement a series of service projects, and will work with relevant departments to recruit 120,000 employment trainee positions and develop more than 400,000 employment positions suitable for young people.
Li Xuerui also mentioned the phenomenon of "young people do not eat late snacks and go to night schools", revealing that Chongqing will focus on business districts, online celebrity check-in places and other youth gathering areas, and explore the creation of a number of iconic scenes such as Chinese New Year's Eve schools, youth markets, Chinese New Year's Eve markets, youth development parks, and neighborhoods, to build more platforms for youth employment and entrepreneurship.
Li Xuerui, born on January 24, 1991 in Dadukou District, Chongqing, won the women's singles badminton title at the 2012 London Olympics, Chongqing's first Olympic champion, and she also won the women's singles silver medal at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014. In addition, Li Xuerui is a two-time Sudirman Cup and a three-time Uber Cup champion.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Li Xuerui suffered a heavy blow to her athletic career when she tore her cruciate ligament during the women's singles semifinals. In 2019, she announced her retirement. Subsequently, she married her teammate Qiao Bin and had a lovely baby.
In 2021, Li Xuerui joined Chongqing University as an associate professor in the School of Physical Education.
In May 2023, Li Xuerui served as the deputy secretary of the Sixth Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, with the deputy department level.

Gong Jinjie, the cycling champion of the Rio Olympic Games, has been appointed deputy secretary of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, in charge of the office, the school department and the work of the student federation, the party committee of the organ, the provincial youth league school, and the work of the youth department and the youth work committee.
