IT Home reported on April 19 that Microsoft recently released Windows 11 and Windows 10 system updates, integrating the Edge search bar on the desktop. Microsoft officially said that the purpose of introducing this feature is to simplify the search experience for users, and to search for relevant content without opening a browser window, improving work efficiency and convenience.
Microsoft also officially said that users can open the Microsoft Edge browser and manually enable the search box. On the Windows 10 system, open the Canary version of the Edge browser, open the upper right corner of the "...", and click "Launch the search bar" under "More Tools", and the corresponding content will pop up on the desktop.
It's worth noting that Bing isn't mandatory for users to choose their preferred default search engine, but switching to a search engine like Google will automatically disable Copilot.
