In order to improve children's first-aid awareness and mutual rescue ability in emergencies and enrich children's safety knowledge, on April 17, 2024, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Dongxihu District, Wuhan District Child Welfare Guidance Center, and Street Minor Protection Station, together with Wuhan Dongxihu District Yutong Social Work Service Center, linked to the One Foundation Children's Safety Program "Children's Safe Survival Training Camp" volunteers carried out two children's safe survival training camp activities in Xin'andu Primary School and Cihui Primary School, and sent an interesting and practical safety lesson to 150 children.

At the beginning of the activity, the volunteer teachers briefly introduced the rules, procedures and precautions of the activity to the children, and then divided the children into 6 groups, and participated in the 6 theme games of jack lifting, blanket stretcher time trial, AED use, knotted rope competition, furniture tipping prevention, and Heimlich first aid method in clockwise order.

At the event site, six games were carried out at the same time, each volunteer teacher in a vivid language, scenario simulation, interactive way, first of all, theoretical explanation and operation demonstration, and emphasized the relevant precautions, and then the children orderly and active participation, simulation practice jack lifting, Heimlich first aid and other skills, "blankets can also make stretchers? What if there is no blanket?" In the nearly one-and-a-half-hour on-site experiential learning, the children gained a lot and successfully obtained the customs clearance certificate.

By participating in the children's safe survival training camp, the children listened and watched, learned and practiced, enriched the students' survival knowledge and skills, helped the children establish first aid awareness, and could deal with emergencies efficiently and accurately, so as to protect their personal safety. In the next step, the Wuhan Dongxihu District Civil Affairs Bureau, the District Child Welfare Guidance Center, and the Street Juvenile Protection Station will continue to link various forces to carry out child safety-related activities to ensure the healthy growth of more children.
