Fortunately, after unremitting efforts, he ended up marrying a beautiful athlete who was nine years younger than him. This is not an accident, but the result of years of hard work.

In 1980, Liu Guozheng was born in an ordinary working family in Wuhan. His father was a doctor who loved table tennis and often played against friends in the park. This environment made Liu Guozheng have a strong interest in table tennis and was eager to try it many times.

When Liu Guozheng was a child, his physique was relatively weak, but table tennis helped him build a strong physique. When he was six years old, his father decided to train him in professional table tennis and hired a professional sports coach. At first, his family hoped to cultivate his health through physical exercise, but to everyone's surprise, table tennis gradually became Liu's best sport.

At that time, Liu Guozheng was thin and slightly malnourished, and many coaches expressed concern about this. However, the coach ultimately chose to teach him with all his might. Liu Guozheng's love for table tennis and excellent comprehension made the coach deeply gratified. Over time, the father also noticed his son's progress. In the past, although his movements were standard, he lacked systematic training. Now, with rigorous training, he has become more and more professional.

Despite his busy schedule, the father did his best to support his son, and he was tasked with picking up and dropping off the coach. As a result, the coach was able to concentrate on coaching Liu Guozheng, and Liu Guozheng was more engaged. The relationship between them is like that of family, one is a sports coach, the other is a doctor, and they pay attention to each other's sons.

Because of this, the coach taught Liu Guozheng unique tactics and techniques, which made him like a tiger. Despite his short stature, he inherited his father's rigor and calmness, winning several top three prizes at provincial level. With his outstanding strength and consistent performance, he was successfully selected for the provincial table tennis team in 1991, joined the national second team in 1994, and officially became a member of the national team in 1995.
