At the 1965 Turin Motor Show, Lamborghini presented two 350 GTS cabriolets, which were reworked from the 350 GT launched in 1964. The two models, numbered 0325 and 0328, were manufactured by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera and were originally designed for display. Unfortunately, Lamborghini did not mass-produce the convertible and did not launch a production version of the Diablo cabriolet until the 90s.
The car numbered 0328 was originally painted in Nero Acrilico black, with a dark green leather upholstery and a hard top provided by the manufacturer. It was first sold in Madrid, Spain, and was spray-painted white a few years later. By the mid-eighties, the car was painted red and then sold to Prince Althani of Qatar, who commissioned Lamborghini for an official restoration.
Another car, number 0325, was presented at the 1965 Turin Motor Show, in the livery Mocciola Metallizzato Nitro gold and the interior in Testa di Moro dark brown. On March 30, 1966, the car was delivered in this colorway to Kaplan in New York, USA. Later, the car stayed for quite some time at Al Burtoni in California, USA, with the license plate "GTS350" and the body was sprayed cream color.
