Due to the limited production capacity of US arms dealers, when they are supporting Ukraine, they can no longer meet Taiwan's demand for weapons and equipment, so US congressmen suggest that the United States transfer relevant weapons production technology to Taiwan, which is actually "killing two birds with one stone" for the United States, because it can also obtain weapons and ammunition replenishment from Taiwan. The United States has previously purchased 5.56mm automatic rifle ammunition from Taiwan, and now members of the U.S. Congress want to use Taiwan's industrial capacity to build more weapons and ammunition. In the wake of the Ukraine crisis, the United States has realized that it is no longer enough to rely solely on domestic arms dealers, and has been gathering support from Japan and South Korea.
Judging from the information released by the Pentagon, the United States has borrowed South Korea's 155 mm artillery shells, and at the same time has also imported TNT explosives from Japan, and has also purchased Patriot 3 air defense missile systems from Japan. With the assistance of the United States, Taiwan already has a certain industrial base of weapons, and during this period, it has also been developing and building fighter planes, and at present it is equipped with a large number of IDF "Ching-kuo" fighters, and at the same time, it has also developed multiple rocket launchers, medium- and long-range air defense missiles, cruise missiles, and anti-ship missiles, so as long as the United States is willing to transfer production technology, Taiwan will be able to build more weapons and equipment.
At present, the United States has F-16V fighter jets, M1A2T main battle tanks, and M142 Seahorse high-mobility rocket launchers, etc., which have not been delivered to Taiwan, if the United States provides technology, Taiwan will be able to build corresponding equipment, and at the same time, it can also be sold back to the United States, so the US congressmen are strongly encouraging the United States to transfer technology and let Taiwan join the supply chain system of American weapons and equipment.
