On the battlefield, Xiang Huifang became acquainted with Huang Yongsheng, commander of the Third Division of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region. Although the two are 8 years apart, their hearts are tightly connected and they love each other deeply. After marriage, Xiang Huifang became a mother, but she was not satisfied with the comfort of the family, but entrusted the child to the nursery, and she continued to work without hesitation.

After liberation, Xiang Huifang was transferred to Guangdong with her husband. This low-key and cautious attitude enabled her to resolutely draw a line with her husband after Huang Yongsheng was investigated.

In fact, before this, the relationship between the two was already relatively cold. Therefore, Xiang Huifang decided to apply for divorce from her husband. Huang Yongsheng, who is in prison, also agreed. In 1981, Huang Yongsheng was released on medical parole and was arranged to live in Qingdao by the organization. Two years later, he died of illness.

Perhaps this is the good wish of their children to reconcile with them, hoping that they can be together again in another world.
