Hong Kong Motor Vehicle Driving Regulations
According to the relevant provisions of the "Administrative Measures of Guangdong Province on the Entry and Exit of Hong Kong Motor Vehicles into and Exit from the Mainland through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge" -
▶ Article 10 Hong Kong motor vehicles temporarily entering the mainland in accordance with these Measures may only be driven in the administrative region of Guangdong Province. The vehicle must have a Hong Kong motor vehicle number plate and carry a compulsory insurance certificate for motor vehicle traffic accident liability with the vehicle.
▶ Article 15: In any of the following circumstances, in addition to being dealt with in accordance with the laws and regulations and relevant provisions, a new application by a Hong Kong motor vehicle owner or driver who has temporarily entered the mainland will be restricted or not accepted: (6) Driving a Hong Kong motor vehicle temporarily entering the mainland beyond the prescribed driving range. In case of such circumstances, a new application shall not be accepted within one year; if the driver of the record has the circumstances set forth in item 6, all the applications shall be cancelled; and the owners and drivers of motor vehicles in Hong Kong shall not accept or restrict the acceptance of new applications in accordance with the above provisions from the date of cancellation of the record.
Macau Motor Vehicle Driving Regulations
According to the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures of Guangdong Province on the Entry and Exit of Macao Motor Vehicles into and Out of the Mainland through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge——
▶ Article 10 Macao motor vehicles temporarily entering the mainland in accordance with these measures are limited to driving in the administrative region of Guangdong Province. Vehicles must be hung with Macao motor vehicle number plates, and carry a compulsory insurance certificate for motor vehicle traffic accident liability with the vehicle.
▶ Article 15 In any of the following circumstances, in addition to being dealt with in accordance with the laws, regulations and relevant provisions, the owner or driver of a Macao motor vehicle temporarily entering the mainland will be restricted or not accepted from accepting a new application: (6) Driving a Macao motor vehicle temporarily entering the mainland beyond the prescribed driving range. In case of such circumstances, a new application shall not be accepted within one year, and if the driver of the record has the sixth circumstance, all the records shall be cancelled; and the owner or driver of a motor vehicle in Macao shall not accept or restrict the acceptance of new applications in accordance with the above provisions from the date of cancellation of the record.
