The reason why the results of the Informatics Olympiad can be favored by prestigious universities in the enrollment of primary and junior specialty students and university promotion is largely because it is objective and differentiated.
Unlike the other four competitions, the Informatics competition is not graded by a person, and all the scoring processes are set at the time of the question. The actual evaluation is done objectively by the computer, so the informatics competition cannot use the method of looking at the process of grading other disciplines to produce discrimination. However, there are not only two types of scores for each question in the information competition: 0 and 100.
For each informatics competition question, the questioner will set a number of test data points at the time of the question, and each data point has a certain "partial score". For the same question, there will be significant differences in the time and memory space required for the operation of the algorithm programmed by different contestants, and accordingly, they will get or not get the corresponding part of the score at a certain test point.

The four introductory questions in CSP-J/S 2023 are set up with scoreable test points for categories 2, 4, 6, and 6 respectively. The questions basically follow the distribution of easy and difficult.
Judging from the score statistics of the final winners, the differentiation of the CSP-J/S 2023 entry-level is still good. "Players with a full 100 score" and "players with other scores" can be basically considered as two groups. However, in both groups, the number of people decreased as the score increased. On the one hand, this reflects the difficulty of setting the questions, and also shows that many entry-level players do not have the awareness of partial points, and lack skills on how to get partial points when they can't get a perfect score.
CSP-J/S 2023 has been upgraded
The four questions of CSP-J/S 2023 are set up with 2 categories, 7 categories, 1 categories and 8 categories of scoreable test points. The higher level puts forward a high demand for the mentality of the competition, and the questions are not completely distributed according to the first and second difficult ones - the first two questions are of equal difficulty and easy to score; the second question is not very difficult, and many players will be stuck here; the third question, which is not very difficult, is a question with no partial points, cumbersome code and many details, and it is time-consuming to score.
Combined with the score statistics of the winners, the 2023 promotion level has a certain degree of differentiation in the high segment, and the distinction in the low segment is average. The low level concentrates a lot of players whose ability is between entry and improvement, and "reach out and reach" to improve the level, and the actual performance is mostly "get a score for one question and add some points for other questions".
NOIP 2023
The four questions of NOIP 2023 cover more knowledge points and are more difficult, and there are 3, 3, 6 and 8 types of scoreable test points respectively. The knowledge examined in the question follows the distribution of the first easy and then the most difficult.
In terms of actual scores, the test points in the NOIP test point segment are more detailed, with a minimum score difference of 1, and compared with the CSP-J/S certification, the total score of the winners in the NOIP is more widely distributed and more distinctive. It is also more in line with the needs of NOIP results to serve the subsequent selection of provincial teams.
