Luo Fanchun, a member of a group of Xinwu in Guanpi Village, Longhai Town, Anren County, Chenzhou City, now runs a bubble tea shop in Zhaoqing, Guangdong.
At around 12 noon on June 23, 2023, when Luo Fanchun drove past the middle of the Jiqing Avenue Bridge in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, he found a group of people on the bridge shouting anxiously: "Someone is jumping into the river!" He hurriedly stopped the car to check, only to see a person struggling in the water under the bridge.
The bridge is about 20 meters high from the water surface, the river is 1,000 meters wide, and the water is very deep. Seeing this, Luo Fanchun was so anxious that he hurriedly took off his coat and pants, and jumped down. Only then did he realize that the person who jumped into the river was a lady in her 60s, and she was carrying a bag. The eldest lady did not cooperate at all and resisted desperately, scratching Luo Fanchun's face and legs, he struggled with the eldest lady in the deep water for half an hour, and his physical strength was overdrawn to the limit, but he was still unwilling to give up...... Helplessly, the water was deep and turbulent, and the eldest lady was finally swallowed by the water. Luo Fanchun sighed bitterly, and could only turn around and swim towards the shore.
