The Ford Mustang is officially celebrating its 60th birthday, and the American car brand is celebrating the Mustang with a special event in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as unveiling a commemorative edition called the Mustang 60th Anniversary Package, which is based on the 2025 Mustang GT Premium Coupe and the convertible model.

The 60th Anniversary Package is just a cosmetic package, but it's worth mentioning that the upgrades offered by Ford are eye-catching, neither too understated nor too ostentatious. Probably the most striking part of a vehicle is the rim. These rims are 20 inches in diameter and feature a simple five-spoke design that borrows heavily from the 1965 design. In an age full of intricate snowflake rim designs, this design is a refreshing change. Of course, this kit doesn't just have a set of shiny rims.

Do you see those 5.0 logos and stripes on the side of the car??? These are based on the 1965 model, and the same design appears on the GT logo on the rear compartment. The front of the car features a distinctive front grille with a retro mesh design, and silver trim strips have been added to the sides of the radiator shroud to make it even more striking. The smoky headlamps added from the Mustang Nite Pony Package are contrasted with the extra bright silver exterior mirror covers. Unfortunately, they aren't really chrome. However, the bright silver exterior mimics the classic look. That is, unless you choose a white Mustang, then in this case the exterior mirror caps will be the same color as the bodywork.

When it comes to colours, the 60th Anniversary Package is only available in the aforementioned white, as well as Racing Red and Steam Blue. The side stripes can be red or silver, and for the interior, the interior is available in grey, red or black. You'll also find a special 60th anniversary badge on the dashboard.

Inside the front of the car, everything is the same as you would see on the new Mustang GT. The 5.0-liter V8 engine produces a maximum horsepower of 480 hp and drives the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. If you want the EcoBoost or even the kit on the standard GT, that's a shame. This kit is only available on GT Premium models. At least you can choose between a convertible and a coupe model.

Ford will only produce 1,965 Mustang with the 60th Anniversary Package, and the reason is obvious. Pricing for the vehicle will be announced at the end of the year, when it will appear as a 2025 model in Ford dealerships abroad.
