Tao Te Ching, Chapter 75 [Original]

The hunger of the people, as much as the food tax on it, is hunger.

The people are difficult to govern, and it is difficult to govern with what is done above.

The light death of the people, with the thickness of survival on it, is to die lightly.

The husband is the only one who has no way to live, and he is virtuous in his life.

XVII. With the well-being of others in mind, one's own well-being is endless.

The second proverb in this chapter is:

The core of this sentence is that with the well-being of others in mind, one's own well-being is endless.

Everything has its own way to completion.

  • For the country, prosperity is the result of Taoism and the people;
  • For enterprises, sustainable development is the result of due diligence for the society, efforts for customers, and dedication to employees;
  • For individuals, health and safety are the result of the inner righteousness, the outer righteousness, and the unity of knowledge and action.
No matter where we stand, the survival of all people must be based on the survival of the whole.

Even if a king who sits on the throne only wants to support himself, once he forces the people to have no way to live, he is tantamount to putting himself in danger.

No one wants to be hurt, and the magic weapon given by Lao Tzu is: "The two do not hurt each other, and virtue returns".

"Do no harm" is the principle of the avenue:

  • For the Tao, the universe is itself, and it does not harm itself;
  • For the saint, the world is himself, and he does not have to compete with himself.

Heaven and the saints never planted the cause of harm, and they could not reap the fruits of harm; they did not pay attention to their own life and death, but used virtue to plant the eternal flower that will always flourish and be undefeated.

Don't do anything based on your imagination.

  • A lot of times, it's not that we think it's good for others, it's that others really benefit.
  • Only by standing in the other party's perspective and looking at the other party's reaction can the answer be accurate.

For example, now that the economic conditions are better, parents can provide more learning opportunities and hobbies for their children. But today's children are not happier or better, and even the rate of depression and suicide is increasing exponentially.

This is not a problem for a certain country, but a problem for an era.

In the past 100 years, the rapid development of the earth's economy has made education only focus on cultivating people's knowledge and skills, and forget to tell people the meaning of life, the beauty of morality and the value of altruism.

Life is used to shine.

Everyone has their own unique light, as long as you let yourself shine, you don't have to compare yourself with others.

Morality is the most beautiful scenery in the world, and it is also the strongest force.

Altruism is the ultimate goal of all learning, we live this life in order to do our best to help others, burn our lives to love our family and country - altruism is the value of all life, and the only purpose of our life on earth.

Only when everyone remembers that "with the well-being of others in his heart, his own well-being will be endless", will a person's heart be lit up and he will be full of love for life.

In fact, everyone has a good life, but they pay too much attention to themselves and lose their good life.

To deal with this problem, all you need is medicine: "If you have the well-being of others in your heart, your own well-being will be endless".
