The spirit travels through time and space, inspiring people to forge ahead. Listening to the story of Yang Jialing and the story of the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China, people were all touched, motivated, and encouraged.
After working in the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site Management Office for 18 years, the narrator Liu Ting has lost count of how many times the story of Yangjialing has been told. What she remembers more and more clearly is the numbers.
"To do this job well, you need feelings, perseverance, and tireless research. As docents, we must continue to study the history of the party, dig deep into the stories contained in the old site, and form our own topics. Time flies. Today, Liu Ting is already an experienced first-level commentator. In addition to undertaking important reception tasks, the responsibility of cultivating "red scarf explainers" also fell on her shoulders.
In recent years, the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site Management Office has cooperated with more than 20 schools in Yan'an City, and has held a total of 24 training courses for "Red Scarf Explainers", training more than 3,000 primary school students, so that children can learn and talk about the history of the Party from primary school, and cultivate their feelings of loving the Party, the country and their hometown.

Over the past 32 years, the Young Pioneers of primary and secondary schools in Yan'an City have been trained by the counselors of the large squadron and the volunteer counselors outside the school (docents of the old revolutionary sites), and have been trained at the old revolutionary sites again and again. During the winter and summer vacations, National Day and other holidays, there will be small docents from various primary and secondary schools in Yan'an City wearing bright red scarves to explain to tourists from all over the country in Zaoyuan, Yangjialing and other patriotic education bases.

In order to enable more Young Pioneers to participate in the activities, in 2010, the "Little Commentator" activity was comprehensively promoted in the Young Pioneers organizations of 13 counties (districts) in the city. In 2018, the "Little Commentator" was renamed as the "Red Scarf Explainer", and the first "Red Scarf Explainer" Explanation Skills Competition in Yan'an was held. The "Red Scarf Propaganda Group" composed of red scarf interpreters was established to sing "Red Songs", "Northern Shaanxi Folk Songs", perform "Northern Shaanxi Yangge" and "Ansai Waist Drum", and speak "Northern Shaanxi Storytelling" and "Northern Shaanxi Allegro" to go out of the campus and Yan'an, preach the spirit of Yan'an, and publicize the red culture of northern Shaanxi.

In 2019, the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Work Committee promoted this activity throughout the province. And insist on holding the "red scarf explainer" explanation skills display activities covering the three levels of provinces, cities and counties every year. At the same time, in order to meet the training needs of red scarf interpreters, coordinate with relevant departments of cities and counties to use all revolutionary sites and venues as practice bases for "red scarf interpreters", and use weekends and holidays to carry out normalized practical training. Up to now, more than 700,000 provincial, municipal and county-level red scarf commentators have been trained. In 2023, Shen Yixuan, an excellent red scarf docent recommended by Shaanxi, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Youth League. At present, this activity has become one of the important practice brand activities of the Young Pioneers across the country.
