Some of the above areas are accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation (the maximum hourly rainfall is 20~40 mm, and can exceed 50 mm locally), and there are strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds locally.

It is expected that from 14 o'clock on April 18 to 14 o'clock on the 19th, there will be 8-10 thunderstorms and strong winds or hail in parts of southwestern Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, north-central and northern Guizhou, north-central and southern Hunan, north-central and southern Jiangxi, southern Fujian, northeast and southern coastal Guangxi, Guangdong and other places, among them, some areas of central and northern Hunan, northern and southern Jiangxi, northeast Guangxi, north-central Guangdong, southwestern Fujian and other places will have thunderstorms and gales of more than 10, and local winds can reach more than 11; Southern Chongqing, north-central Guizhou, southeastern Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, southern Fujian, southeastern Yunnan, eastern Guangxi, Guangdong and other places will have short-term heavy precipitation with hourly rainfall greater than 20 mm, of which the maximum hourly rainfall in some areas of northern and southern Hunan, northern and southern Jiangxi, northeast Guangxi, north-central and eastern Guangdong is greater than 50 mm, and can reach more than 70 mm locally.
The squall line will affect the Pearl River Delta region
This morning, a squall line appeared in eastern Guangxi and continued to move eastward, and under its influence, heavy rainfall and strong convective weather occurred in many places, such as the maximum rainfall intensity of 57.1 mm in Anhuai, Pingnan, Guangxi. As of 9 o'clock, the main body of the squall line has moved to Guangdong, and it is expected that the squall line will continue to move eastward this morning, affecting the Pearl River Delta region.
From today until the 23rd, there will be heavy to heavy rain in Jiangnan, South China, Guizhou and other places, locally heavy rain, accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms, strong winds or hail and other strong convective weather. In particular, the rainfall in eastern Guangxi and the central and northern parts of Guangdong lasted for a long time, and the cumulative rainfall was extreme.
Today's heavy rainfall and strong convective weather are mainly concentrated in South China and northern Guizhou, and tomorrow with the strengthening of warm and humid airflow, the heavy rainfall area will expand northward, and the rain belt will gradually press southward from the 20th to the 21st, and the rain belt will mainly be located along the coast of South China on the 23rd.
