When using electrical appliances such as induction cookers, electric blankets, and electric irons, it is necessary to avoid fires caused by damage to the wires due to aging wiring and frequent handling.

02

Heating by baking fire can easily cause fire

It is strictly forbidden to use gasoline, kerosene, alcohol and other flammable materials to ignite heating products, do not pile combustible materials around the stove, and strictly prohibit the use of heating products to bake clothes.

How to make a proper call to 119?

First, the first thing is to know how to report a fire.

Stay calm, don't panic, and most importantly keep yourself safe and away from the fire. Call the "119" fire alarm number, and in the case of inconvenience to make a call, you can call the police to the unit and the surrounding crowd. It can also be alarmed automatically by the automatic fire alarm system or by pressing the manual alarm button.

2. The detailed address should be stated when reporting the fire.

Including the name of the street, the house number, where it is nearby, whether there is a landmark building that is easy to find, and it is necessary to indicate the nearest fire escape entrance from the fire site; in the event of a fire in rural areas, the name of the county, township (town) and village should be stated; the branch factory, workshop or department should be stated for large enterprises; and the number of floors should be stated for high-rise buildings. In short, the address should be clear and specific.

3. When calling the police, the fire substance should also be stated.

Such as houses, shops, oil depots, open-air storage yards, etc.; it is best to explain what kind of buildings are on fire, such as sheds, brick and wood structures, new workshops, high-rise buildings, etc.; especially pay attention to explain what the fire is, such as liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, chemical reagents, cotton, wheat straw, etc., should be clearly explained, so that the fire department can dispatch corresponding fire fighting vehicles according to the situation.

Fourth, the fire situation should be described in more detail when calling the police. For example, "there is a large amount of smoke coming out", "only smoke is visible", "there is a fire", "the fire is fierce", or "the first floor is on fire", "two houses are on fire", "several people are trapped", etc.

5. The person who reported the police should leave contact information.

The person who called the police should leave his name and the number of the telephone used, so that the fire department can contact him by phone to understand the changes in the fire situation at the scene.

6. After calling the police, someone should also be sent to the intersection to pick up the fire truck. Quickly organize personnel to dredge the fire lane, clear obstacles, and provide the location of the nearest water source, so that the fire truck can immediately enter the best position to extinguish the fire after arriving at the fire scene.

"Three tips" for fire escape in high-rise buildings

Tip 1: Smoke-free and quick escape

Touch the door lock before opening the door, if the temperature is not high and there is no smoke in the staircase, bring an escape mask or wet towel, quickly escape down the stairs, and close the fire door when passing through the stairwell. (In case of smoke spreading upwards during the downward escape process, evacuate to the nearest floor room as much as possible, close the fire door in the stairwell, and retreat according to "Tip 2" for help.) )

Tip 2: Smoke retreats and waits for help

If the temperature of the door lock is very high or there is smoke when the door is opened, you should retreat and wait for help. Plug the door cracks with bed sheets and clothes, and splash water to cool down and prevent smoke (the entrance door of high-rise residential buildings is generally a fireproof door, which can withstand fire for more than 1 hour). Dial "119" to report the location, remove the curtains at home and place them away from the window, and send out a distress signal in a prominent location such as the balcony.

Tip 3: Calm down with smoke

If you are in a building with two stairs, you should quickly escape down the other non-smoking staircase, and if your building has a unit staircase leading to a roof landing or an outdoor corridor, you can escape from the evacuation staircase of the adjacent unit through these areas, provided that the exits are clear and there is no smoke. During the escape process, you should wear an escape mask or cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel.

Smoke is the first "killer" of fire, preventing smoke from entering the room and avoiding inhalation. Dry towels have a limited blocking effect on smoke and dust, although the smoke-proof effect of unwrung out wet towels is good, but it is completely impermeable, and the wet towel with a wrung part of water can block a large amount of smoke and dust, and its breathability is very good.

Several common fire fighting methods

Furniture, bedding, etc. caught fire

Generally extinguish fires with water. Splash water on the flame with a nearby water-filled object such as a washbasin, or connect the water pipe to the faucet to spray water to extinguish the fire, and splash the combustible material near the burning point to cool down. However, oil and electrical appliances cannot be extinguished with water.

Electrical fire

If a household appliance or line catches fire, cut off the power supply first, and then use a dry powder or gas fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, and do not directly splash water to extinguish the fire to prevent electric shock or electrical explosion from injuring people.

The TV caught fire

In the event of a fire on the TV, it should never be doused with water, but can be extinguished with a quilt after cutting off the power supply. When extinguishing a fire, only approach the TV from the side to prevent the picture tube from exploding and injuring people. If a fire extinguisher is used to extinguish the fire, it should not be fired directly at the TV screen to avoid it from suddenly being exposed to heat and exploding.

The oil pan caught fire

When the oil pot is on fire, the gas valve of the stove should be closed quickly, directly covered with the lid or covered with a wet rag, and the cut vegetables can also be put into the pot to cool and extinguish the fire, and the pot should be smoothly removed from the fire, and the lid can only be opened after cooling, and the oil pot should not be poured water to extinguish the fire.

The gas tank caught fire

Cover the fire with soaked bedding and clothing, and close the valve quickly.

!

If there is a fire on your body, do not run around, but roll on the spot or use heavy clothing to extinguish the flames. When escaping through thick smoke, cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel or handkerchief, keep your body as close to the ground as possible, and bend down or crawl forward.
