Located on the Scottish island of Islay, Bunnahabhain is part of the Distell Group and was founded in 1881 as part of the Distell Group. The Whisky at the Buna Haben Distillery is special, and although it is located on the island of Islay, it does not advertise peaty flavors, but mainly emphasizes smooth taste and unique maritime flavors.
Every year, on the occasion of Feis Ile, the Islay Whisky Carnival, or the Islay Whisky and Music Festival, or the Islay Carnival, or the Island Festival, some distilleries on Islay offer special editions of the Island Festival, and Bunnahaben is no exception. In April 2024, Bunahaben released two 2024 Island Festival wines. One of them is called Bunnahabhain Fèis Ìle 2024: Triple Sherry Wood Finish (TSWF). Barreled in Amontillado, Manzanilla and Oloroso, this wine is 23 years old, with an alcohol content of 53.3% ABV, a capacity of 700ml and a bottle size of 4,002 bottles. The official suggested retail price is 439.99 euros, which is about 3,380 yuan at the current exchange rate.
Another liquor is called Bunnahabhain Fèis Ìle 2024: Ruby Port Cask Finish (RPCF), which was distilled on 26 May 2009 in Bourbon Casks and then transferred to Ruby Port on 17 November 2020 Hogsheads, bottled in 2024, 14 years old, 58.7% ABV, 700ml, bottle size unknown. The official suggested retail price is 134.99 euros, which is about 1,040 yuan at the current exchange rate.
The two wines are currently available in Europe and the UK, and will be available in more select retail markets around the world. In addition, as in previous years, there is a high probability that during the Island Festival, Buna Haben will also release a winery-limited Island Festival wine.
